Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify fundraising opportunities such as announce call for proposals (CFP/RFP), request for submission of EOIs, etc. from different bilateral and multilateral donors and other funding organizations
∎ Respond to identified fundraising opportunities by developing project concept notes, technical and financial proposals, etc. as per the requirement of the funding organizations and ensure submission within due time
∎ Assist in review funding trends and donor priorities on a regular basis and based on it prepare annual plan for project development/intervention design
∎ Assist in review and assessing funding priorities and trends of local and international donors on a regular basis, and based on it work closely with the Programme Coordinator and Programme Head
∎ Identifying new areas for programmatic intervention including designing new projects and scale up of existing successful interventions and prepare project proposals and concept notes accordingly
∎ Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, annual reports including project progress reports and completion reports, and disseminate among relevant stakeholders
∎ Review national and international best practices, innovations and successful interventions in areas relevant to UDP's strategic priorities and take initiatives to incorporate these in the designs of existing and new interventions
∎ Review and capture programmatic learnings, innovation and good practices from the ground and prepare process documentation, the effectiveness of programme intervention, reporting, dissemination and publication for ensuring internal and external visibility
∎ Assist Programme Head for reporting, trend analysis, insights generation, learning, real-time data analysis and data visualization through coordination with M&E and knowledge management team
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 07 years of working experience with national/ international NGOs or development organisations is required. Candidates having experience in the field of urban development, designing and developing successful project proposals for major institutional donors will get preference
∎ Sound knowledge of current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development, pro-poor urban development concepts, project design and budget formulation guidelines, socio-political and gender dimensions of urban slums etc.
∎ Capable for planning and prioritizing under any stress situation
∎ Excellent skills in team building, problem solving and decision making
∎ Demonstrated skills in technical and financial proposal and concept note development
∎ Excellent communication, coordination and networking skill
∎ Familiar with MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
