Job Responsibilities:
∎ JOB PURPOSE:
∎ To provide support to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs.
∎ Under the supervision of Head of GFA Unit, the incumbent will lead GFA into effective and efficient programmes with digital solutions and through operational partnerships. The incumbent will coordinate with the local authorities and cooperating partners on the GFA related issues. The incumbent will also lead the rapid response and strengthen the Food Security Committee structures in the camps.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience: at least 10 years of experience in progressively responsible professional experience in planning, design and implementation of humanitarian or development programmes.
∎ Experience in planning, design and implementation of humanitarian or development programmes with relevant work experience at the country or implementation level in developing countries.
∎ Experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of in-kind food, cash and voucher transfers.
∎ Experience in managing a team and building effective partnerships in humanitarian and development contexts.
∎ Experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of in-kind food, cash and voucher transfers. Knowledge of WFP corporate assistance transfer platform, tools and guidelines is an asset.
∎ National Professional: Fluency (level C) in English language and Bangla language.
