Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that cash-based transfers (CBT) and related processes within Cox's Bazar Sub-Office are managed according to WFP corporate guidelines, standards and procedures.
∎ Liaise with different WFP functional units (Activity units, Digital Solution and Innovations unit, Procurement, Finance, Administration, Logistics, ICT, and Security among others) to ensure the coordinated design and implementation of CBT operations.
∎ Support in the end-to-end streamlining of processes related to SCOPE and Building Blocks (BB) while ensuring alignment with CBT activities across functions, and conformity with the wider programme policy and guidance.
∎ Contribute to the preparation of accurate reporting on CBT programmes and activities that enable informed decision-making and consistency of information.
∎ Compile monthly CBT statistics, and provide required data and figures extracted from CBT platforms (SCOPE/BB) and corporate Financial Service Providers (FSPs) platforms such as bKash Mobile Money Transfer Customer Payment Service (CPS) portal.
∎ Provide effective support to other programme Activity Units in using SCOPE/BB and flag requests and issues raised by such units to strengthen planning and timely implementation of CBT programming.
∎ Provide support in carrying out CBT-related feasibility studies and assessments including cost-efficiency and effectiveness analysis for CBT interventions.
∎ Set up, reviewing, and monitor interventions and cycles for different activities in SCOPE/BB, processing beneficiary monthly cash entitlements in corporate FSP portal, documenting lessons learned, advantages and challenges.
∎ Participate in WFP's monthly internal CBT Working Group meetings and the external Transfers Working Group meetings and follow-up on actions points for CBT within set deadlines.
∎ Undertake field missions to refugee camps to support respective Activity Units in CBT related tasks.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the humanitarian and/or development sector with at least 3 years of experience in the implementation of humanitarian cash-based transfers programmes.
∎ Experience in implementing and monitoring CBT programme activities in emergency and refugee settings will be an added advantage.
∎ Has gained experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
∎ Has gained experience designing and managing CBT operations.
∎ Strong experience in emergency response and with influx of refugees.
∎ Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.
