• Age 18 to 30 years

Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Graduation or Post Graduate in Geology/ Environmental science in any recognized institution.

Context - BRAC’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programme officially commenced in 2006 with the vision to ensure that everyone, everywhere has safe drinking water, a hygienic toilet and practices good hygiene.

Leveraging years of expertise, the programme evolved to address emerging challenges in difficult hydrogeological settings, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure safe access and equitable, universal coverage of WASH services

Major Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement work plans for project activities in coordination with the District Coordinator.

• Identify and assess digital water management tools suitable for agricultural communities across value chains.

• Conduct assessment for understanding risks, identifying priority areas/actions and raising awareness activities according to the guideline.

• Generate localized climate risk maps, groundwater profiles, and hydrological diagnostics for targeted sub-catchments.

• Develop local water adaptation plans aligned with government planning cycles, integrating participatory monitoring tools.

• Engage and support community-level water user/supplier groups, with emphasis on women’s participation and volunteer mobilization.

• Maintaining legal procedure for the tender and quotation of water points and latrine repairmen and renovation materials purchase.

• Facilitate the formation of inclusive catchment water management committees (village to upazila level) and guide them in developing action plans based on national water laws and frameworks.

• Conduct regular field visits to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of project activities.

• Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions for local committees, LGIs, CBOs, and youth groups on RCCE and data-driven water governance.

• Coordinate with other BRAC programmes to ensure synergy and performance optimization across activities.

• Lead periodic community awareness meetings at sub-catchment level to review action plans and assess climate-related water risks and responses.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, including success stories, lessons learned, and contributions to monthly and final reports.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
