Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide project management support to the strategic planning, management and monitoring of the Volunteer Services component of the Strengthening Community Resilience programme;
∎ Contribute towards programme planning, ensuring alignment with the project's programme policies and guidance; as well as WFP global policies and guidance;
∎ Liaise and maintain good communication and coordination with government stakeholders, cooperating partners, including UN agencies and other organisations as directed;
∎ Liaise with internal counterparts (i.e. finance, procurement, field level agreement management) to ensure effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities;
∎ Work with cooperating partners to build their capacity, ensuring that all programmatic activities are delivered to the desired quality;
∎ Undertake regular field visits to follow up on the implementation of programme activities and monitoring, and address any gaps as necessary;
∎ Ensure relevant social, environmental and occupational safeguard mechanisms are in place during the project implementation;
∎ Manage, supervise and provide support to Programme Assistants including facilitation of compiling work plans and monitoring reports as per schedule, for submission and feedback from the Programme Officer;
∎ Facilitate visits and briefings for donors, government delegations and other missions;
∎ Any other duty assigned by supervisor, or by the Head of Unit.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of five years of managerial experience including at least three years professional experience in project management, preferably with a UN organization of international development organisation /NGO.
∎ Experience of research, conducting analyses, monitoring and evaluation of programmes
∎ General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures in the area of field operations management
∎ Willingness and ability to work in difficult environments, under stressful and time-ritical circumstances
∎ Demonstrated openness in sharing information and keeping people informed
∎ Fluency in English & Bengali (both oral and written) is required
Salary: Tk. 188945 (Monthly)
