Responsibilities & Context:

Job Description / Responsibilities:

The Programme Officer (PO) will be responsible for managing multiple projects and will be based in Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar Field Office. The position involves program management, financial oversight, and coordination responsibilities to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall implementation, planning, and monitoring of Education Projects in line with the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).

  • Manage and operate the Field Office independently, supervising teachers and other field staff on daily activities.

  • Closely monitor Learning Centre activities under the Education Project in Camp 12 and Ukhiya Upazila, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Lead and conduct Training of Teachers (ToT) at the field level to enhance staff capacity and performance.

  • Participate in relevant Cluster and Coordination meetings for effective reporting and inter-agency collaboration.

  • Assist in developing and updating beneficiary data collection tools and project formats.

  • Design and support community awareness campaigns using Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques.

  • Contribute to needs assessments and Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) studies.

  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites and ensure adherence to project quality standards.

  • Maintain donor visibility requirements across all project sites and communications.

  • Responsible for routine and monthly reporting to Local Authorities and donors.

  • Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) and donor-specific reports (interim/final) as per deadlines.

  • Support and coordinate with external evaluators during end-of-project evaluations.

  • Organize and maintain office records, registers, and project documentation.

  • Financial Responsibilities:

    • Assist to Manager Finance and Administration for prepare vouchers, collect bills/invoice appropriately as per organization and donor policy, and maintain proper documentations for project-related financial transactions.

    • Ensure compliance with financial policies, budget utilization, and reporting standards of HOPE ’87 and donors.

    • Assist the finance team in the preparation of periodic financial statements, expenditure reports, and audit support documents.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors and management.
