Job Context:
∎ BHW is now recruiting for the following positions to set up a full- fledged Secretariat to implement the regular activities of BHW and implement project activities revolving around research, high level advocacy with policy makers and programme planners, development partners and civil society partners. It is an exciting innovative project, based at JPGSPH and offering excellent working environment. All positions carry excellent benefits.
∎ Only individuals working at senior level (for the Chief Coordinator role) or senior mid-level (for other roles) should apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To have strong links with the media world to ensure that important information in various advocacy areas appear in all forms of media
∎ To develop media relationship in a way that the media become a partner in achieving project objectives
∎ To maintain constant media presence through publication of articles/op-eds and news, as well as participation in television talk shows, radio programmes
∎ To seek sponsorship for media interventions
∎ To design and implement social media campaigns
∎ To develop communication material as and when needed
∎ To maintain constant presence in social media outside of campaigns
∎ To device ways of monitoring effectiveness of media interventions
∎ To design and manage events
∎ To manage media agencies
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of experience of working with electronic and/or print media
∎ Understanding of, and technical capacity to work in social media avenues
∎ Evidence of existing network in the media world
∎ Excellent communication skills including writing skills in English and Bangla
∎ Capable of working under pressure and across the organisation
∎ Demonstrable capacity to work on several fronts and with several agencies in parallel
∎ Self-starter and able to priorities
∎ Person of high integrity and resilience
