- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible post-master's research experience in public health, epidemiology, implementation research, health systems research, or a related field. Time spent completing a Master's or other academic degree does not count as professional experience.

- Demonstrated experience in advanced quantitative research methods and statistical analysis.
- Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to independently make technical and analytical decisions on quantitative research methodologies while maintaining scientific rigor.
- Strong expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, implementation research, and advanced quantitative methods.
- Working knowledge of qualitative research methods and experience in mixed-methods research.

2. Position Purpose
BRAC JPGSPH is looking for a Senior Research Fellow to play a key role in advancing to the Centre of Excellence for Science of Implementation and Scale-Up (CoE-SISU) by leading quantitative and implementation research activities, supporting competitive grant development, and generating high-quality scientific publications and evidence.
The role requires strong expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, implementation research, and quantitative data analysis, along with a working understanding of qualitative research methods. The incumbent will independently lead the quantitative components of research projects including study design, statistical analysis, data management, and interpretation of findings exercising independent technical judgment on methodology and analytical approach, while seeking guidance from senior leadership on strategic, institutional, or policy-related matters.
3. Key Responsibilities
Research and Grant Development
- Lead the development of quantitative and methodological sections of grant proposals, including study design, statistical analysis plans, sample size estimation, implementation frameworks, monitoring and evaluation plans, and budget justification for research activities.
- Identify funding opportunities and play a leading role in developing competitive national and international research grant applications.
- Contribute to the conceptualization of innovative implementation research and health systems research proposals.
- Support Principal Investigators in donor engagement, technical proposal development, and resource mobilization.
Quantitative Research Leadership
- Lead quantitative components of implementation research, epidemiological studies, impact evaluations, and health systems research.
- Develop statistical analysis plans, sampling strategies, power calculations, and data management protocols.
- Lead data cleaning, quality assurance, advanced statistical analysis, and development of analytical datasets, using R, Stata, SPSS, SAS, or other relevant statistical software.
- Develop dashboards, analytical reports, data visualizations, and evidence products to support research dissemination and decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with qualitative researchers to integrate quantitative and qualitative evidence in mixed-methods studies.
Scientific Writing and Dissemination
- Lead and contribute to high-quality scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, conference abstracts, and dissemination materials.
- Present research findings at scientific meetings, policy dialogues, and stakeholder workshops.
Technical Support and Capacity Building
- Provide technical guidance to research teams on quantitative methodology, epidemiology, statistical analysis, and data management, including training on relevant statistical software.
- Mentor MPH students, junior researchers, and research staff in quantitative methods, statistical analysis, and scientific writing.
- Support the design and delivery of training workshops on research methods, grant writing, and implementation science.
- Offer basic guidance on mixed-methods integration when required.
