Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Development Studies or any relevant discipline

Job Context:
∎ Contract Type: Fixed - term appointment
∎ Duration: One year (Renewable)
∎ Report to: Programme Manager
∎ Job Statement: The Programme Officer - Communication and Documentation will provide expert support to ETI programmes through ensuring proper documentation and communication services.
∎ Main Purpose: To ensure documentation of ETI activities and to ensure communication and dissemination of information among stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Documentation:
∎ Work coherently with the Programme Manager, senior management, other strategic goal leads as well as Administration and Finance lead to make sure that the processes and outcomes of ETI Bangladesh programmes are documented in an effective manner.
∎ Develop and or edit event reports, meeting minutes etc. for proper documentation of ETI activities and outcomes
∎ Contribute to the process of developing periodic programme reports with inputs from programme teams
∎ Develop systematic archives (electronic or other) and update regularly ensuring that required documents are available as and when necessary
∎ Provide technical support to programme teams in designing and producing communication/ IEC materials for different projects
∎ Lead in documentation of knowledge and evidence gathered from our programme portfolio and translate this into high quality evidence-based case studies and presentations for a wide range of audiences
∎ Develop, edit and publish the contents of strategic information materials for advocacy and positioning, including information packages, briefs for stakeholders' sensitization activities and other public engagements
∎ Develop success stories to demonstrate the outcomes and impact of the campaigning and advocacy work
∎ Work closely with the M&E specialist to strengthen results management and reporting;
∎ Support senior management and project team in preparing concept notes and other project related documents;
∎ Communication:
∎ Support aligning organization's external and internal communication with ETI UK and ETI Bangladesh communication strategy and polices
∎ Contribute to updating ETI Bangladesh communication strategy, as and when necessary
∎ Monitor the evolving communication gaps and support in adjustment of communication tools to suit interventions
∎ Streamline communication efforts through guiding colleagues in implementation of communication strategy through all their communication
∎ Support strategic goal leads in organizing advocacy, influencing and dissemination activities and events
∎ Lead/support in designing event-based communication plan, when and where appropriate, to make sure relevant information are consolidated and communicated through available channels
∎ Manage ETI Bangladesh website as the focal point; take responsibility of updating contents, liaison with technical service provider and respective team members within ETI
∎ Develop contents for the website and edit contents from other colleagues before publishing on the website
∎ Work as an admin and as focal point for ETI Bangladesh social media account following organizations communication strategy; update contents regularly
∎ Develop electronic periodic bulletin and disseminate among stakeholders
∎ Organize, with support from strategic goal teams, dissemination events on project learning, research outcomes etc
∎ Prepare and edit press releases and disseminate among media houses, as and when necessary
∎ Others:
∎ Support programme colleagues in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences
∎ Scan news media and relevant research reports to support programme team with updated information
∎ May also be expected at times to contribute to other areas of work based on availability and organization's need.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Three years of relevant work experience, preferably in international development, NGO and/or responsible business will be preferred
∎ Proven experience in website management will be preferred
∎ Some working experience in the media (print, audio-visual) will be an asset;
∎ Experience in content management and content analysis
∎ Experience in event management and stakeholder engagement
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and experience of writing, editing & publishing
∎ Competencies:
∎ Possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in both English and Bangla
∎ Proficient in MS word, common internet and web applications
∎ Writes clear and concise for different levels of audiences
∎ Well versed in the latest electronic publishing and graphics methods
