Job Context:
∎ Contract Type: Fixed - term appointment
∎ Duration: One year (Renewable)
∎ Report to: Senior Manager-Finance and Administration
∎ Job Statement: The Assistant Officer - Finance and Administration is an exciting opportunity to take on a role for ETI Bangladesh programmes through maintaining daily financial tasks and record keeping, support to ensure human resources, travel, logistical arrangement and general administrative services. Also, work with senior managers to create reports and optimize ETI budgets.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Administration:
∎ Prepare minutes for directors/management meeting, justification note for approval, amendments to agreements, contracts and TOR for programme needs
∎ Ensure logistical and administrative support
∎ Support for human resource management
∎ Manage staff time sheet, leave and inventory of office supplies and assets
∎ Support programme team in organizing webinars, meeting and training workshops
∎ Support to process of consultant/service provider recruitment and managing service contracts • Work coherently with the programme team/departments to make sure that the processes and outcomes of ETI Bangladesh programmes are implemented in an effective manner. • Review staff expenses claims with supporting receipts and preparing weekly payments runs in accordance with the agreed timetable and financial control procedures and ensuring correct coding of all costs.
∎ Keep track and support to ensure the RJSC compliance issues
∎ Ensure full compliance of financial and administrative processes and records with ETI rules, regulations, policies and strategies.
∎ Support to manage safety and security issues
∎ Finance & Accounts:
∎ Ensure accurate and timely supplier payments and processing of journals
∎ Enter financial data into the system and update financial records
∎ Assist with the preparation of financial reports
∎ Keep track of accounts payable and accounts receivable Maintain petty cash of the organization
∎ Ensure bank administration and performing bank reconciliations
∎ Ensure VAT return, FDI report and other necessities for the organization as well as regulatory bodies
∎ Others:
∎ May also be expected at times to contribute to other areas of work based on availability and organization's need.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting systems
∎ Proficient in MS word, common internet and web applications
∎ Outstanding organizational and administrative skills
∎ Familiar with using accounting software QuickBooks
∎ Strong team player
∎ Competencies:
∎ Strong written and oral communications skills
∎ Ability to organize effectively, work under pressure with attention to detail, precision and accuracy
∎ Self-development, initiative-taking
∎ Acts as a team player and facilitates team work. Ability to work effectively under pressure
