Job Context:
∎ All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPGs) of Bangladesh Parliament is a Legislator`s forum comprised of members of Bangladesh parliament from both Treasury bench and Opposition, to hear the voices and concerns of the poor and marginalized groups of the society and to oversee the existing policies and practices relating to various national developmental issues in general and poverty in particular. It works both inside and outside the Parliament to influence Law makers/policy makers to enact/amend/ratify pro-poor policies/laws for the ultimate benefit and contributing to the empowerment of the poor, vulnerable and excluded groups of people and communities of the country and beyond. People`s Empowerment Trust (PET), a leading advocacy organization specialized in Legislative Advocacy acts as the founder Secretary of the APPGs of Bangladesh Parliament. The purpose of All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPGs) is to hold the government accountable to enact and implement pro-poor policies potential for benefiting the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded groups of the society.
∎ Job Nature : Full time (Project Based)
∎ Job Duration: August 2022 to December 2022 (Extension will depend upon satisfactory performance)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Make effective implementation of programme activities of assigned area through providing support in line with the concept of the project
∎ Provide substantive inputs to programme assessment and document all results achieved through programme interventions
∎ Must have capacity to quick prepare results-oriented report/ minutes/ press release/ web content based on Seminar, workshop, dialogue, convention, press conference, advocacy, lobby meeting and other secondary documents
∎ Prepare programme content and update organizational website
∎ Strong analytical & report-writing skills both in Bangla and English
∎ Highly motivated, self-starter, can work under pressure with minimum supervision
∎ Perform any other tasks as assigned by the authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 2 year (s) job experience in relevant field required. Experience may be waived in case of highly potential candidate
∎ Although the position is Dhaka based, the selected candidate must be prepared to undertake field visits and will need to participate various events at field level. S/he must be comfortable working with people of diverse age-groups and various social, economic and professional categories. S/he should have programme/research oriented skills.

Salary:
∎ Gross 28000 Taka BDT (P/Month) and others admissible benefits
