Job Context:
∎ Contract Duration: 12 months
∎ Type of Contract: Service Contract (SC6)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Head of DRR, the Programme Associate will be responsible for the following duties:
∎ Assist in coordinating and monitoring of the GIS implementation in the refugee camps;
∎ Support the data collection processes and the overall data management activities including mapping, encoding, storing, as well as processing, and support to the analysis of the collected data and the information locally;
∎ Prepare and produce regular GIS analysis, analytical maps, information products and interactive dashboards as required;
∎ Coordinate and perform geospatial analysis, as necessary, based on collected data and disseminate resulting products and datasets;
∎ Database management on relevant linkage between datasets to Geo database, design effective solution to meet the accurate and timely information needs;
∎ Continue regularly updating and archiving information resources to be available and usable for donor reporting;
∎ Support the training of staff in work related to data collection, survey and assessment; data management as well as maintenance and support to database systems

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum five years' work experience with minimum three years of relevant experience at increasing levels of responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in Data Management or Information Management.
∎ Language: Excellent written and oral/communications skills in both English and Bangla.
∎ Technical Knowledge and Skills:
∎ Knowledge on ArcGIS or any enterprise GIS software such as Google Earth Pro, software development tools, interactive dashboards, MS Office, Power Bi and Tableau
∎ Knowledge and experience of design, planning and supervision of construction projects.
∎ Desirable experience of working within the Humanitarian Community or Development Sector, in particular in the field of DRR.
∎ Familiarity with the special context of refugee camps and makeshift sites in Cox's Bazar is an asset.

Salary: Tk. 114638 (Monthly)
