Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
∎ Under the direct supervision of the Head of Gender, the following list of duties shall be considered to be the responsibility of the Programme Associate
∎ Develop information and knowledge products such as, reports, advocacy briefs, and fact sheets that demonstrate the role of WFP in mainstreaming gender in food security.
∎ Support the development of assessments and tools and analyse the data to promote evidence-based gender-transformative food and nutrition security
∎ Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely information management and reporting on programmes and activities that enable informed decision-making by management.
∎ Assist Gender Unit Head on resource mobilization efforts through proposal writings, and presentations to increase funding of gender-transformative activities.
∎ Weekly field visits to collect data through focus-group discussions with different programme beneficiaries and participants.
∎ Assist in the planning and coordination with programme units on events aimed at improving women empowerment. i.e., International Women's Day and '16 Days of Activism'.
∎ Undertake capacity strengthening initiatives including production of training materials and facilitator's guide on gender and PSEA to strengthen the capacity of WFP colleagues and cooperating partners;
∎ Attend all meetings with Gender in Humanitarian Action Group (GiHA), Gender Results Network (GRN) and office meeting contributing greatly to the Gender Unit presentation to leverage WFP's capacities in gender/protection activities.
∎ Assist in coordination with WFP programme units in promoting innovative approaches to gender mainstreaming.
∎ Act as Officer-in-Charge when Head of Gender is not available, and Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years minimum experience with 3 years relevant work experience in gender, knowledge management, communications etc with a focus on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment
Salary: Tk. 103091 (Monthly)
