Job Responsibilities:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: In Cox's Bazar, WFP supports 1.4 million people in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh: 860,000 Rohingya refugees and 540,000 host community Bangladeshi as part of the L2 emergency operation. The Cox's Bazar Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Unit is a center for Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) and Analysis with expertise in assessments, monitoring, research and qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Under the MEAL unit, WFP has taken an initiative to actively engage in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus (triple nexus) which includes conflict sensitivity and social cohesion mainstreaming across all aspect of WFP operations in Cox's Bazar.
∎ The Social Cohesion and Conflict Analysis team aims to actively contribute to policy and programme design, and lead engagement with relevant actors internally and externally to contribute to the peace outcomes. Considering the scale of the operation and the activities planned around devising methods for evaluating impact as well as designing newer activities to contribute towards peace outcomes, this position would contribute to enhancing capacities of the MEAL unit in assessment and analysis for social cohesion and conflicts.

Additional Requirements:
∎ EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three of professional work experience where one-year in programme development, social behaviour research, psychology or education field . Experience in the field of peace and conflict would be desirable
∎ KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
∎ Strong digital literacy (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
∎ Understanding of M&E, reporting, accountability will be required
∎ Interpersonal, analytical , communication skill with high-level officials, consistency in advice and follow-up, ability to work with diverse teams, capability to provide sound advice and independent ability to facilitate coordinated planning and subsequent follow-up on implementation and reporting, ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing;
∎ Ability to work in a team, flexibility in accepting work assignments outside normal desk description.
∎ Innovative skills and commitment to support WFP Bangladesh in achieving gender parity among the national staff in all functions, levels and locations.
∎ LANGUAGE: Excellent written and oral/communications skills in both English and Bangla.

Salary: Tk. 85766 (Monthly)
