Job Context:

∎ Type of contract: Fixed-term (33 months)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall guidance of the Country Representative and the Programme Coordinator of IUCN Bangladesh, and under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Officer (Red list and IAS of Plants Coordinator), the Programme Assistant (GIS, IT and Database) (Red List and IAS of Plants) will undertake following specific responsibilities:
∎ PROJECT MANAGEMENT
∎ 1. Assist in successfully implementing all project activities under the of the project in accordance to the project agreement between the donor and following instruction of the project manager;
∎ 2. Conduct surveys to collect spatial and temporal GIS-based data from the field for the project
∎ 3. Analyze data collected from the field and produce GIS based maps for the project
∎ 4. Support the project manager, team, and consultants in writing the Red List books, IAS of plants Management Strategy, reports and articles for regarding the project by providing GIS based data and maps;
∎ 5. Support the project team, consultants and stakeholder in conducting field work and data collection;
∎ 6. Provide support in organizing of workshops, training programmes and seminar regarding Invasive and Alien Species process for volunteers, consultants and other stakeholder,
∎ 7. Assist to ensure that all project reports and all other committed deliverables are produced, submitted and accepted by the donor in a timely manner as per the Agreement;
∎ 8. Undertake any other tasks that may be assigned by the Country Representative, the Programme Coordinator of IUCN Bangladesh and project manager, from time to time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 years' working experience in the relevant to the terms of reference.
∎ Excellent presentation, writing and spoken communication skills in English are essential.
∎ International experience will be an added advantage.
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English, computer literacy essential.

Salary:
∎ The gross annual salary for this position is in the range from BDT 535`250 to BDT 669`063. While this is an indicative amount effective as of the current date, changes may occur as per IUCN`s compensation practices without prior notice. The same applies to other organizations hosted by IUCN.
