Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. Since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx, SKUS has worked in Cox`s Bazar district with children adolescents, women, and men. SKUS works to provide access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective environment, offer quality teaching/learning and increase refugee/host community participation and engagement in children`s education. Based on children`s and adolescents` rights, SKUS has established a quality learning and protection Centre with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ SKUS is going to implement the Pooled Funded Education project "Provision of inclusive education for Rohingya Children aged 3-14 years in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh" for the Rohingya at Ukhiya Upazila in Cox`s Bazar District with the technical support of BRAC.
∎ SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of Program Organizer for the project as mentioned above in the BRAC Pooled Fund, supported by GAC.
∎ Reportable to: Field Officer
∎ Duration of contract: 31 August 2024. (Contingent to Donor Extension and Govt. Approval)
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The main tasks and responsibilities of the Program Organizer are, but not limited to
∎ Follow up and check baseline survey to set up Learning Centers
∎ Set up Community-Based Learning Facilities (CBLF)
∎ Conduct parental Education support group and Parents meeting.
∎ Guide and support the teachers and mentors to ensure effective education project implementation reaching the targets according to the donor agreement.
∎ Develop a detailed monthly activity plan jointly with the teachers and mentors and effective execution in terms of time management.
∎ Capture and address issues brought up in the Teacher Learning Circles.
∎ Resolve field problems after proper consultation with other colleagues and senior staff on time in an appropriate manner.
∎ Provide logistic support to the ECD and MC interventions timely.
∎ Maintain project-related data, prepare and timely submit reports as and when required.
∎ Assist the Field Officer in organizing training, workshops, meetings, and outreach events.
∎ Rapport Building with field-level key stakeholders including Majhi, Imam, community leaders, parents, CIC staff, SMS staff, and NGOs working on similar fields.
∎ Maintain SKUS's administrative, financial and resource management policies and regulations and comply with government and donor requirements.
∎ Monitor progress through field visits. Use M&E tools to report Monitoring and reporting officer.
∎ Performing any other project-related duties/responsibilities as and when necessary.
∎ Ensure effective coordination with camp level different stakeholders including Majhi, Imam, community leaders, parents, CIC staff, SMS staff, and NGOs working on similar fields
∎ Ensure that program activities are done in a manner so that result-based outputs are achieved.
∎ Support teachers and team members for the successful execution of different activities at the field level of the project.
∎ Provide consistent and reliable data available for reporting and decision-making

∎ Working Condition: The Program Organizer is based at the assigned camps 15 and 16 at Ukhiya of Cox's Bazar district.
∎ She/he will spend approximately 90% of his/her time in the field.
∎ She/he may have contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals.
∎ Personal qualities: A strong commitment to gender-sensitive, inclusive, and pro-poor development works
∎ Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
∎ Consultative and empowering working style and willingness to learn from others
∎ Willingness to travel as required.

∎ Age at most 50 years

Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
