Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Place of Posting: Rajshahi with extensive field Visit through local transport
∎ Reports to: Regional Co-ordinator, Rajshahi
∎ Cooperation and Functional relation: Program Manager (SPL) and unit head.
∎ Nationality: Bangladeshi
∎ The Hunger Project is seeking application from competent, dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated individuals to fill up the position of Program Officer (Youth Mobilization) to advance its youth development and engagement program in Bangladesh. This is a mid level position and the principal responsibility of this position is to unleash the creativity and leadership of the youth as well as increase their sense of social responsibility and engage them in community development.
∎ The key responsibilities the position are as follow:-
∎ Arrange and facilitate training, workshops and follow up meetings with youth.
∎ Develop training and workshop materials, manual and calendar and update the existing materials.
∎ Document and publish the success stories of youth both in English and Bangla in the social medias, newsletters and national dailies.
∎ Provide TOT to create and existing youth facilitators to sharpen their facilitation skills.
∎ Monitor and follow up the social action project taken by trained youth.
∎ Prepare periodic report both financial and program as required by donors/ partner organizations.
∎ Initiate and undertake policy advocacy to create opportunity for youth development and engagement
∎ Encourage youth to take advocacy initiatives for increasing national budget allocation for youth development.
∎ Work in collaboration with the programme, monitoring & evaluation team to develop creative and effective communication and branding materials;
∎ Mobilize youth, local elites and local representatives to promote social harmony.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of 4-5 years of professional work experience in youth leadership development and mobilization activities in development organization preferably INGO.
∎ Ability to work independently or with minimum supervisions and guidance.
∎ Excellent English language speaking and writing skills is a prerequisite.
∎ Expert level competency with Microsoft word, Excel, Power point, Outlook.
∎ Demonstrated experience in preparing, writing successful funding proposals in relevant fields.
∎ A socially active person having good networking skills.
∎ Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
∎ Sets high standards for quality of work and consistently achieve the targets.
∎ Sound knowledge good governance, human rights, youth rights.
∎ Ability to work effectively in groups and independently; demonstrated initiative and creativity when solving problems.
∎ Proven track record of report writing .,
∎ Ability to effectively present different types of report for a diverse range of audience.
∎ Good organizing and communication skills, relation building capacity with team and people of all sectors.
∎ Dedication, motivation, drive, ambition and commitment to the job and meet the deadline.
∎ Good experiences on advocacy and policy influencing work with shared learning and knowledge management.
∎ Sound knowledge in diversity and pluralism.
