Educational Requirements:

∎ The Program Officer - Child Marriage will assist in the implementation of all sub-set of activities designed for child marriage component under BC/TIP.
∎ Winrock International is a non-profit organization that works with people around the world to increase economic opportunity, sustain natural resources, and protect the environment. Winrock strengthens the capacity of women, children, youth, and civil society organizations to actively participate in local and national development and to transform their societies. A new modification has been signed between USAID and Winrock International under which Bangladesh Counter Trafficking-In-Persons program will address Trafficking-in-Persons among Rohingya refugees and host communities. The program will address gaps in support of victims of TIP, child marriage and gender-based violence by designing activities that fall under each of the four "Ps" - Prevention, Protection, Prosecution and Partnership.
∎ BC/TIP Project is currently recruiting for the position of a Program Officer - Child Marriage in its child marriage component. The position holder will contribute to the effective project implementation, major focus will be on close monitoring of partner organizations activities, coordinate national level activities and maintain proper records and documentation in adherence with Winrock and USAID procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ As a core member of BC/TIP, provide programmatic support to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of CM component activities according to the approved workplan;
∎ Assist in the development and dissemination of project deliverables, including reports (monthly, quarterly & annual), in coordination with other staff members of BC/TIP and implementing partners;
∎ Regularly support relevant sub-grantees in the implementation of their activities in accordance with Winrock International and USAID rules and standards;
∎ Will spend 80% of time in the field to see the work of the implementing partners and provide guidance to them, as necessary;
∎ Media monitoring on CM issues and assist in preparing analysis reports;
∎ Support capacity building of stakeholders through facilitating meetings, workshops, study circles, and trainings for reducing and addressing CM;
∎ Support the development and the dissemination of handouts, leaflets, case studies and other relevant materials for workshops and training sessions;
∎ Support community-led campaigns;
∎ Support updates to referral directories to include services to at-risk girls;
∎ Maintain timely and accurate records of all activities and update relevant documents and databases;
∎ Collect required data and information to capture success stories of the CM survivors;
∎ Develop strategic communications content including impact stories, infographics, social media commentary, videos, photo stories, newsletters, and other communication materials;
∎ Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in a development sector program (INGO, UN, or USAID preferred)
∎ Knowledge and clear understanding of human rights, particularly CM aspects within Bangladesh's social context, the Child Marriage Restraint Act, and broader regional developments;
∎ Experience in working in child protection, community activism or human rights issues in Bangladesh strongly preferred;
∎ Organized, detail oriented and able to complete multi-tasks, while meeting deadlines;
∎ Flexible, self-motivated and able to work with little supervision;
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments;
∎ Computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite including Office, email and internet, Bengali Typing using Bijoy;
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla required.
