Job Context:
∎ Kaan Pete Roi Emotional Support and Suicide Prevention Helpline is a volunteer run non-profit organization established following the Befriending model. The mission of the helpline is to alleviate feelings of despair, isolation, distress, and suicidal feelings among members of the community. Kaan Pete Roi accomplishes this through confidential, compassionate, and open-minded listening.
∎ The Program Manager is responsible for the overall planning, overseeing and leading of program activities to ensure the successful achievement of program objectives. He/she will work with stakeholders to identify, validate and implement concepts, define guidelines for stakeholder management and communication, and align program outcomes with overall program and key stakeholder requirements. He/she will contribute directly to the overall organization and program strategy both in terms of program delivery frameworks, governance and interfaces with the other functional areas of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Determine and define the program scope and objectives. Plan, execute, and evaluate the program according to predetermined timelines and budgets
∎ Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
∎ Prepare budgets based on scope of work and required resources
∎ Form effective partnerships with multistakeholder organizations and media to ensure representation of the program work in the mainstream platforms to increase reach
∎ Perform risk assessment to manage the program risks
∎ Develop concept notes, program reports and other required documents on a monthly and annual basis and share with relevant stakeholders
∎ Plan and develop checklists for monitoring and evaluation followed by collection of regular reports to ensure effective implementation
∎ Develop effective tools for program management to assess impact and sustainable execution of program plans
∎ Make necessary arrangements as and when required to ensure adjustments with troubleshooting and safeguarding concerns in a timely manner
∎ Maintain communication and liaison among internal departments and external stakeholders
