Project Description:

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S. Government through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The project provides strategic technical support and direct service delivery to strengthen Global Health Security (GHS), including outbreak preparedness and response; improve maternal and child health (MCH); and support health systems strengthening (HSS), with a strong focus on supply chain management. Epic is led by FHI 360 and implemented in partnership in seven districts of Bangladesh.

Position Summary

The Upazila Facilitator will support field-level implementation of project activities by facilitating coordination with health facilities, community structures, and frontline workers. The role focuses on community engagement, activity facilitation, monitoring, and documentation to ensure effective delivery of MNCHN, EMCE, IPC, and emergency preparedness interventions at the grassroots level.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Anthropology, Development Studies, or a related discipline.

Experience:

• At Least 2- 3 Years

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Anthropology, Development Studies, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–3 years of field experience in health, nutrition, or community development programs.

• Experience working at community level with health facilities, frontline workers, and local stakeholders.

• Ability to communicate effectively in Bangla; basic working knowledge of English preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Email).

• Willingness to work extensively in the field and travel within the upazila.

• Motorcycle driving skill with valid driving license.

  Preferred Experience

• Experience in MNCHN, EMCE, IPC, hygiene promotion, or community engagement projects.

• Previous experience working with NGO or donor-funded projects (USAID, UNICEF, WHO, etc.).

• Familiarity with community clinic systems, CG/CSG structures, and local government processes.

• Experience facilitating community meetings, group discussions, or awareness sessions.

• Experience working during emergencies, outbreaks, or humanitarian response settings.

 Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of project activities at community, facility, and union levels under guidance of the Upazila Coordinator.

• Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, trainings, and outreach activities related to MNCHN, EMCE, IPC, hygiene, and emergency preparedness.

• Work closely with Community Clinics, UH&FWCs, CHCPs, FWAs, HAs, and community groups (CGs/CSGs) to ensure smooth implementation of activities.

• Support organization and documentation of meetings, workshops, review sessions, and community dialogues.

• Assist in community mobilization, beneficiary participation, and volunteer engagement.

• Collect field-level data, success stories, attendance sheets, and activity reports and submit them in a timely manner.

• Support monitoring of indicators, follow-up actions, and referral linkages at community level.

• Ensure activities follow government guidelines, donor requirements, and organizational safeguarding policies.

• Identify field-level challenges and communicate them to the Upazila Coordinator for timely resolution.
