Job Context:

∎ REPORTS TO: Prosecution Manager
∎ The Program Associate is responsible to assist the prosecution manager in planning, implementing, and reporting of prosecution activities of FSTIP project. The Program Associate will work with the prosecution manager to ensure timely implementation of activities stipulated under the prosecution component in the project workplan and monitor regularly the activities to be carried out by the prosecution partners across the country. S/he will be leading the development and monitoring of the monthly district implementation plan in consultation with the prosecution partners. S/he will also maintain close coordination with the GESI Specialist and MEL Team to ensure gender equality and social inclusion as well as achievement of MEL targets. S/he will assist prosecution manager to prepare budget, TORs, quarterly, annual and other reports.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provides programmatic support to the FSTIP prosecution component to ensure smooth implementation of the activities.
∎ Supports and oversees relevant subgrantees in the implementation of their activities.
∎ In consultation with the Prosecution Manager liaises with relevant government departments and agencies, including solicitor wing, ST tribunals, JATI, NLASO, police monitoring cell, etc.
∎ Prepares Leahy vetting templates for the vetting of police officers and other law enforcers for their participation in FSTIP organized training
∎ Maintains liaison with the key criminal justice sector actors including police, prosecutors, lawyers, and judges.
∎ Organizes training program for justice sector actors (police, prosecutors, lawyers, judges).
∎ Assists the OPS team and finance team to prepare all necessary papers for smooth implementation of activities, particularly training programs.
∎ Maintains timely and accurate records of all prosecution activities and update relevant documents and databases.
∎ Follows up and monitor TIP and CM cases and BMET arbitration process to ensure justice for the victims and draft reports.
∎ Supports the MEL team to collect required data and information of the activities implemented under the prosecution component.
∎ Supports the prosecution manager in preparing, editing, and submitting timely and accurate activity reports to USAID.
∎ Assists prosecution manager in developing Terms of Reference (TORs) for consultants.
∎ Performs any other duties as may be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ One year work experience.
∎ Solid knowledge of human trafficking and child marriage related national and international laws, rules, and protocols.
∎ Some knowledge of safe migration related issues
∎ Detail-oriented
∎ Fluent in English in writing, reading, and speaking
∎ Fluent in Bangla
∎ Demonstrable very strong database management skills
∎ Microsoft Office skills
∎ Strong oral and written communication skills.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Ability to travel frequently to project areas outside of Dhaka.
