Having an organizational shape in 1977, MSS redirected its focus to poverty alleviation and empowerment of the poor especially the urban and rural women of Bangladesh. Thereafter, MSS started a health and population services in 1982; an integrated savings and credit program for the urban poor in 1984 which has since become sustainable. MSS was again on the front line when the focus of development shifted to building democratic societies and promoting good governance. MSS emphasizes Social Services Programs to complement its credit program for the holistic development of underserved people. Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS) is looking for an experienced and competent person for the following position.
∎ Job Context
∎ The Program Assistant will work under the Eye Care Program of MSS. The incumbent will provide overall administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the eye care programs. S/he will assist the Program Officer and the Assistant Program Officer in implementing Eye Care Program activities. S/he will provide all-out support to conduct eye camps for the underserved, ensure cataract surgery of the cataract patients, prepare case studies, raise funds, record and document keeping, publish newsletter, and support in preparing reports in English and Bangla, among others. The position will be Dhaka based but will need to travel as and when necessary for project implementation. This position offers scope for career growth.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
∎ Provide support to general administrative works
∎ Respond to phone calls; take information and messages; and timely update the respective officials.
∎ Control incoming and outgoing documents, timely distribution, and maintain records.
∎ Prepare the schedule of different meetings and arrange necessary materials for the meeting.
∎ Draft official letters, meeting notices, agenda, and minutes of meetings.
∎ Collect and compile all types of reports as guided by the supervisor.
∎ Provide support for creating charts, updating the website, computer composing, logging data, etc.
∎ Arrange different meetings, seminars, workshops/symposiums, recruitment, and training programs.
∎ PROGRAM SUPPORT:
∎ Collect and document information on program activities from team members and partner hospitals.
∎ Provide support to senior officials in developing project proposals, concept papers, and expressions of interest.
∎ Keep program plans up to date, allowing program managers to get a clear view of the current status.
∎ Assist in planning and scheduling eye/ health camps and preparing associated materials.
∎ Provide full support to the Program Officer and the Assistant Program Officers.
∎ Provide support in preparing comprehensive reports on program results, newsletters, leaflets, flyers, brochures, etc., and preparation of event budget.
∎ Assist in liaison with donors, local authorities, GO, NGOs, INGOs, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and the media.
∎ Communicate with Finance & Accounts, HR & Admin, and other departments of the organization, when necessary.
∎ Any other relevant task assigned by the management

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 30 years
∎ Job Location: Dhaka with field visits to different locations in the country.
∎ Freshers are encouraged to apply. Experience in the relevant field will get added advantage.

∎ Must be fluent in Bangla and English spoken and written
∎ Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Packages especially with advanced Excel knowledge.
∎ Strong interpersonal and effective communication skill is required
∎ Must be team-oriented and possess the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
∎ Should have multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines consistently and adapt well to change.

Salary:
∎ During probation Tk. 20,000-22,000. After confirmation salary will be fixed as per the pay structure of the organization.
