Job Context:
∎ Employment Type: Project based fixed term
∎ The position will facilitate backward and forward market linkages and ensures access to quality inputs and sell of produces to the markets. S/he is also responsible for providing hands on support for functioning businesses of the entrepreneurs and the collection centers developed by the project and support for operationalization of the centers.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Understanding and review the collection centers and cluster wise vegetables products, inputs and technology demand and supply gap and capitalizing the market opportunities accordingly.
∎ Provide support to organization for selecting collection centers entrepreneur's, setup the collection centers, developing business case for the entrepreneur's, developing basic post-harvest management like sorting, grading packaging facilities at CC level and providing training to the entrepreneur's on product quality, business management and post-harvest management.
∎ Closely work with field team, lead farmers, entrepreneur's for input and output product forecast, seasonality-based product calendar development and buyers mapping at local level.
∎ Developing a communication channel within farmers, entrepreneur's, local stakeholders and company for better input and output market development and supply chain integration.
∎ Provide time to time necessary field information to company at central level for taking strategic decision on product, input and technology.
∎ Providing hand to hand on job training on product quality, specification and traceability system.
∎ Developing weekly, monthly procurement plan analyze and calculate the cost of procurement and different transactional cost to minimize the product cost
∎ Based on company procurement strategy develop a negotiation tools and conducting win-win deals to secure profit of farmers and company.
∎ Identify the sourcing risk and preparing contingency plan specially for price, product availability, quality, on time delivery, payment and transport management etc.
∎ Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers;
∎ Work closely with East-West Seed, DAE and others stakeholders for achieving the project goals and objectives.
∎ Providing time to time project report and necessary information and progress as per the line mangers instruction .
Additional Requirements:
∎ Superior knowledge on geographic and topographic context of the northern region, especially on the vegetables farmers and entrepreneurs;
∎ Related expertise on relationship development, coordination and liaison;
∎ Experience on project management and reporting
∎ Experience in engaging private sectors, government and NGO stakeholders in one forum to establish sustainability agenda;
∎ Ability to conduct commodity-based field insight report, i.e. data collection, analysis and reporting.
∎ Professional computer skills (MS office suite);
∎ A highly cooperative team player and ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks is desirable;

∎ Strong ability to communicate and function effectively in local/international/multicultural environment;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
