Job Context:
∎ This job is to introduce and Review Product PPGs, Standard Operational Procedures etc. following Shari’ah Guidelines (AAOIFI) as well as maintain Portfolio & MIS Management.
∎ Designation: FAVP - SAVP
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead in formulating identified Islamic Banking (IB) products (both asset & liability) covering aspects of requirements, approval, the establishment of process and manuals as well as system implementation in light of AAOIFI Guidelines.
∎ Work closely with Product Managers of other departments within the bank in initiating new or reviewing existing Product programs in order to meet product governance.
∎ Conducting Islamic products training upon needed by connecting in training and educating bank staff about the products.
∎ Work closely with Relationship Managers to structure and close Islamic Banking deals as well as to assess for Shari’ah compliance.
∎ Interact with other departments and channels to ensure the availability of all necessary materials and content for product releases, training, MIS, and ongoing sales.
∎ Manage all product & MIS-related assignments.
∎ Ensure streamlined end-to-end product processes for superior customer experience and MIS internal effectiveness.
∎ Engage with Credit Risk, Credit Admin, Collection & Monitoring, etc. for ongoing production activities.
∎ Plan and run promotional campaigns for specific products
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Candidates having CSAA / CIPA Certification would be given preference.
∎ Professional accreditation in Islamic finance is an added advantage.
∎ Work experience at Islamic Banking with running experience as Product & Portfolio Manager for 03+ years.
∎ Familiar with product and business compliance/regulatory requirements with a fair knowledge of Shari’ah requirements.
∎ Sound knowledge of the relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines as well as Shari’ah requirements.
