Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work closely with the internal cross-functional partners in Design, Technical, and Merchandising on a daily basis and throughout the process to maintain a strong and aligned vision on the product direction from beginning to end.
∎ Execute and follow-up on developments and sampling up to SMS
∎ Coordinate with factories and suppliers for any new developments, sourcing and sampling
∎ Prepare time and action plan (T&A) for customer developments and maintain T&A calendar for all new development sample requests received from customer and analyze the yarn, knitting parameters, trims requirement, washing detail and ensure samples are made right the first time
∎ Liaise with the respective merchandisers and keep close follow up of T&A calendar on all SMS samples to ensure timely delivery
∎ Use computer-aided design (CAD) programs to create prototypes and translate sketches into detailed tech packs for every style utilizing designer's initial flat sketch, BOM & specific construction to create garments
∎ Create sampling requests through MIS with proper techpacks and generate a product file style wise
∎ Work closely with the sample room and oversee the sampling process and identify possible problems or issues and help to resolve them
∎ Prepare the showroom prior to customer visits including styling for presentations, validation handouts and look-books for customers and also attend customer meetings and take visit notes
∎ Maintain and make available all technical data for Design and Merchandising prior to costing during the development phase
∎ Prepare and continuously update the yarn, trims, print, embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price ideas for easy reference
∎ Conduct Risk analysis during product development
∎ Prepare cost sheet of the product/sample
∎ Follow up on the sampling status regularly to meet deadlines and ensure accurate samples
∎ Communicate about development status with concern Merchandiser/ Designer
∎ Work closely with technical team to resolve fit, pattern, and grading issues with vendors prior to issuing bulk production approval
∎ Maintain recap sheet for all developments including proto and SMS samples
∎ Handover the styles to Merchandisers along with all the product details and technical information after any order is confirmed
∎ Check proto samples to ensure design and quality standards on final products
∎ Check production feasibility with technical team, define construction parameters etc.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' work experience as Knitwear product developer especially with a factory or buying office with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the sweater category in addition to some experience in cut and sew knits preferred
∎ In-depth knowledge of yarns and stitches.
∎ In-depth knowledge and work experience on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
∎ Must have extensive experience of product development, accessories, costing and execution of techpacks independently
∎ Additional Job Requirements:

∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines
