Experience:
• preferably 8 years` experience in procurement of works and goods, appointment of consultants, preparation of tender/proposal and contract documents, support to evaluation of tenders/proposals, and contract management.
• Working experience with NDB funded projects or any donor funded projects will be an added advantage.
• He/she should have a good knowledge of the updated NDB procurement guidelines.
• He /she will have a demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and has excellent communication (written and oral) skills.

Job description:
The national procurement expert will provide support to the Team Leader and International other key experts to:
assist the PMU in preparing tender/proposal documents, support to evaluation, negotiating and finalizing contract agreements for procurements,
develop, and organize procurement and contract management capacity building and training covering NDB procurement guidelines and procedures for the project implementation staff of the PMU advise Team Leader/team on the progress reporting, quality control and inspection systems to be followed during execution of contracts; and
advice PMU in resolving contractual issues.
