  • Understanding of basic research tools and techniques

  • Experience in developing advocacy objectives and influencing tactics

  • Experience of planning, developing and managing projects or events

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

We are seeking a proactive and analytical individual to join us as Policy Analyst, Advocacy for Social Change. The role supports BRAC’s advocacy strategy by identifying key policy issues and priority areas for exploration, aligned with organizational goals. It involves collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing relevant data and evidence as required by the policy advocacy team to inform decision-making and strengthen advocacy initiatives. The position also contributes to the development of evidence-based policy insights and analytical outputs, effectively supporting BRAC’s national and global advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on policy issues by collecting and interpreting data to inform advocacy strategies.

  • Analyze the national policy environment to provide actionable insights for timely policy interventions.

  • Develop advocacy and communication materials, including policy briefs, reports, and briefing notes, to support BRAC’s priorities.

  • Support the planning and coordination of policy dialogues and advocacy events to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Assist in identifying resource mobilization opportunities and provide ad hoc support to the Team Lead and Advocacy for Social Change units as needed.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
