Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Pharmacy, with registration from Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh or Nursing diploma or Medical assistant diploma.
∎ Working experience of at least 6 months is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintaining the adequacy of storage and hygiene conditions of pharmacy according to MSF protocols.
∎ Participating in physical inventories and organization of stock according to MSF recommended storage guidelines.
∎ Participating in preparing packaging and transportation in order to send to the different health structure. If working as a dispenser, verify with prescriber in case of unclear prescription or difference from standard protocols, and that pa-tients are counseled appropriately regarding their prescribed treatments
∎ Participating in the reception of supplies from medical store.
∎ Ensuring that no material is taken without authorization and that the security regulations of the pharmacy are res-pected.
∎ Reporting immediately in case of robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines. Taking actions to avoid or prevent the robberies and damages on the equipment. Updating stock cards and informing the stock manager as soon as an item reaches the minimum or maximum threshold or is about to expired
∎ Ensure quality in drug dispensing to patients in project pharmacies.
∎ Ensure patients are appropriately counselled in the use of prescribed medications.
∎ Ensure timely use of medication on first expiry first out basis
∎ Assist pharmacy technicians in stock counts.
∎ Assist pharmacy technicians in replenishing stock of medicines and other pharmacy supplies in appropriate locations such as SGBV, OH and MBC pharmacies.
∎ Assist pharmacy technicians in maintaining of cold chain and preparing vaccines carriers and facilitating transportation of supplies as appropriate.
∎ Assist and support pharmacy technicians on CDT entry and consumption monitoring.
∎ Supporting the MoH counterparts in their responsibilities regarding monitoring of EPI and FP supplies, stock management and preparing/receiving orders.
∎ Participate in other activities under his/her scope of performance as needed and recommended by the pharmacy supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Essential knowledge of basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment
∎ Desirable computer literacy (word, excel)
∎ Bengali essential. English desirable.
