Diploma/BSC in Nursing from an accredited academic institution and recognized & registered by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC)
At least three 3 years' experience including 1 year as OT Nurse, preferably in hospital or clinic.
Registered and licensed to practice by the BNMC
Experienced working in 24/7 health facilities and staff, including previous experience of supervising and mentoring other health staff.
Working experience in emergency response.

The Opportunity
The Operating Theatre Nurse (OT Nurse) will work with the Anesthetist and Surgeon to comply with nursing standard operating procedures for surgical cases, taking responsibility for nursing activities within the response. This will include ensuring that the activities of the field hospital team are integrated into Save the Children's emergency response. You will work alongside the rest of the nursing and midwifery team to meet quality standards in nursing activities and may support other services as required. He/ She will have close communication with the Anesthetist as well as other specialists and physicians.
The Operation Theatre (OT) Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of surgical services within the health facility. The position is responsible for providing comprehensive peri-operative nursing care to patients by coordinating surgical preparation, supporting the surgical and anesthesia teams during procedures, and ensuring strict adherence to infection prevention and control standards. The OT Nurse supports clinical supervision, assists in emergency and mass casualty responses, and contributes to patient counselling and education. In addition, the role ensures accurate clinical documentation and supports reporting requirements, while assisting in general clinical care activities in collaboration with the wider clinical team. The OT Nurse upholds professional standards and promotes a patient-centered approach to care in accordance with national and WHO guidelines.
