Job Context:
∎ To help maintain, grow and the set standard. We are seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee daily activities of our central kitchen, where we manufacture fresh foods for our stores located at various places in the city of Dhaka.
∎ The ideal candidate will have a sharp mind and proven success in managing multiple departments at the centralised kitchen for maximum productivity. This person will be highly skilled in managing skilled human resources co-ordinate with them with motivation, and IT management to ensure proper POS systems, receiving and delivery, communication with stores, implementation of all protocols, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including efficient development plans for direct reports and problem resolution with a cool and calm attitude;
∎ Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit delivered to stores and materials received, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service;
∎ Partner with cross-functional teams with in the kitchen, to improve tools and systems;
∎ Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant;
∎ Oversee materials and inventory on daily basis;
∎ Ensure proper packaging of the foods to be transferred, and received by the store at the right temperatures to avoid spoilage and loss;
∎ Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Three years of proven success in an operations management role;
∎ Strong skills in budget development and oversight;
∎ Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations, staff grievances, sickness, absentee days and customer service;
∎ Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications and continuous learning;
∎ Working knowledge of management software programs;
∎ Including a POS system which encompasses all requirements to efficiently run a centralized kitchen where daily fresh manufacturing is done and is transported to the stores;
∎ Can handle the emergencies in the kitchen environment;
∎ Multiple years of handling central kitchen staff, daily operations, financial and account reporting experience;
∎ Ability to communicate in more than one language;
∎ Working knowledge of management software programs;
∎ Including a POS system which encompasses all requirements to efficiently run a centralized kitchen where daily fresh manufacturing is done and is transported to the stores;
∎ Can handle the emergencies in the kitchen environment;
