About the Project:
BRAC Education Programme (BEP) has over 38 years of global experience working with governments and successfully running schools focusing on children living in situations of poverty and inequality. In Bangladesh, BEP has graduated 8.10 million children from pre- primary (56.81% girls; 212,275 children with disabilities; 91,424 ethnic children) and 6.31 million out of school children from primary level (64.57% girls; 69,502 children with disabilities; and 145,875 ethnic children) since its inception in 1985. In addition, BRAC has previously worked on Life Skills Based Education (LSBE) with 1.08 million adolescent members (69% girls) through Adolescent Development Programme (ADP) centres. About the Role:
This position is responsible for supporting the effective functioning and expansion of BRAC Academy schools by ensuring strong field-level operational management alongside continuous quality improvement in teaching and learning. The role focuses on strengthening school operations, teacher performance, student retention, and implementation of Head Office (HO) guidelines while driving structured quality enhancement initiatives such as teacher mentoring, training, and classroom observation.
Major Responsibilities:
Support school expansion activities, including new school setup, classroom readiness, field-level procurement, and coordination with relevant stakeholders .
Assist in day-to-day school operations, ensuring compliance with operational standards, documentation requirements, and reporting timelines.
Support teacher recruitment processes, onboarding, deployment, and ongoing teacher supervision/management in coordination with HO and field teams.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers to improve instructional practices and student engagement.
Organise and facilitate refresher trainings, mentoring, and coaching sessions to strengthen teachers’ pedagogical skills and effective classroom practices.
Monitor curriculum implementation and ensure adherence to academic guidelines and quality standards across schools.
Track student attendance, retention, and transition data, and implement field-level initiatives to improve student retention and engagement.
Support enrollment and community outreach activities, including parent engagement and local awareness initiatives to achieve enrollment targets.
Assist in budget implementation, expenditure tracking, and financial documentation at the field level as per HO instructions and compliance requirements.
Prepare periodic operational and quality monitoring reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommended actions.
Facilitate regular communication among teachers, parents, school teams, and the HO to ensure smooth implementation of academic and operational initiatives.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
