Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Accounting or MBA in Finance including CA course completed.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To carry out internal audit programs in the all cost centers of UCEP/UCEP entities as per plan/supervisor instructions.
∎ To prepare audit program before starting audit of the cost center with covering the whole monetary related functions since the last internal audit.
∎ To check all financial records/vouchers, supporting documents and other related documents associated to monetary functions of the cost centers as well as physical verification of transactions for accuracy in test basis.
∎ To check whether the financial related all functions are done according to the regulatory rules & laws (as applicable) and compliances of donors/stakeholders.
∎ To prepare and submit the draft audit report on observations and proper recommendations for corrections in the audit report after completion of the audit.
∎ To record management decision against audit findings in the audit sharing meeting and taking initiatives to circulate the decisions to the concerned.
∎ To document properly audit findings and follow up the implementation status of the management decisions against the audit findings.
∎ To do periodic inspection of all cost centers to verify that the physical presence of staff, equipment, materials, cash and students tally with inventory; and materials are used/ distributed to cost centers according to rules and practices.
∎ To maintain confidentiality, the information & threats at the time of auditing, organization audit routines, audit reports, finding documents and management decision.
∎ To assist for reviewing UCEP systems for internal control and recommend improvements where necessary especially internal control policies and procedures.
∎ To verify and check whether the national laws and rules related to Income Tax, VAT and NGOAB are complied.
∎ To be a part of the team in investigation and enquiry as and when assigned by the management / supervisor.
∎ To perform pre-audits of critical/large procurements, final settlements, large payments or other activities when assigned by the management/supervisor.
∎ To check the procedures of accounting entry and transactions into the accounting software and verify the audit trail.
∎ To assist risk-based audit and maintaining of risk-register.
∎ Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
∎ To support in conveying the FAC meeting arrangement and minutes.
∎ To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 04 years of relevant professional experience including at least 02 years in managerial role in auditing in a large organization.
∎ Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent computer operating skills including MS Office packages and trained in ERP and other accounting related latest software and tools etc.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
∎ Management has the ability to make exceptions based on qualifications.
