Responsibilities & Context:
AkijBashir Group seeks to appoint an experienced Officer who will support and execute local procurement requisitions for the group SBUs. The ideal candidate should be dependable, customer service driven and has a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify procurement needs
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective, high-quality products and services
Conduct market analysis to identify the best supply sources
Manage supplier pre-qualification and RFQ/RFP processes
Analyze supplier offers and perform cost-benefit analysis for selection
Prepare negotiations and oversee contract awarding
Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
Identify improvement areas to enhance efficiency and results
Assess and mitigate supply risks while ensuring regulatory compliance
Provide reports to users, plants, and management as required
