Bachelor (Hons) preferably in Anthropology / Statistics / Urban and Rural Planning / Socialogy / Soil Science / Geography / any other Social Sciences or relevant discipline from University Grants Commission (UGC) approved Public / Private University.
At least 3 years of experience in a relevant area of work. Experience in humanitarian response programs with non-profits will be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills, including facilitation skills
At least two years’ experience of working in database or information management (strong Academic background could be flexible for experience)
Fluency in Bengali and Chatgaya, with basic communication skills in English
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to collect quantitative and qualitative data
Ability to undertake data entry and basic processing/analysis of data
Ability to work in a team with flexibility to undertake challenging tasks and adapt to different working conditions
Applying technical and professional expertise

The Opportunity
The Officer- MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) will support the implementation of the MEAL system for the UN-OCHA-funded project to ensure effective monitoring, data management, accountability, and learning in line with Save the Children International (SCI) standards and donor requirements.
Working under the technical guidance and supervision from the Manager -MEAL/Technical Specialist - MEAL and functional relationship of the UN-OCHA-fnnded Project Manager. The Officer- MEAL will support the development and implementation of the project MEAL plan, maintain project databases, update IPTT with month frequency, analyse monitoring data, and support to prepare donor reports within the required timelines. The role will work closely with MEAL, programme teams and partners to ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and use of evidence to improve programme quality.
The Officer- MEAL will support monitoring of project activities, support to execute and orient on accountability mechanisms towards relavent colleagues and partner staff. He/she will contribute also to documentation of lessons learned, good practices, and case studies to enhance learning and visibility of project achievements.
