Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Communications, Mass Media, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT management, communication, and media support, preferably in NGOs/INGOs.Graphics design skills are mandatory (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools).

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and data protection.Experience in social media management, content writing, and branding.Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

The project “Health System Resiliency for Improved SRHR in Bangladesh” aims to strengthen health systems and improve access to quality Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services in Chittagong. Effective communication and digital management are essential to ensure the project’s visibility, documentation, and efficient information flow.

The Officer – IT & Communications will play a key role in managing IT systems, digital platforms, and project communication materials. The position involves ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure, supporting digital data management and reporting, and maintaining consistent visibility of project activities through various media and communication channels. The incumbent will also contribute to content creation, documentation, and digital dissemination of project achievements and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the IT systems, network, and data security of the project office in Chittagong.
  • Support digital tools and platforms for monitoring, training, and reporting.
  • Ensure proper functioning of IT equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing user support.
  • Develop and manage the project’s communication materials (reports, newsletters, infographics, social media content).
  • Coordinate with the central communications team of BAPSA for visibility and branding compliance.
  • Design and develop graphics, presentations, and multimedia materials to support project advocacy and training activities.
  • Document project success stories, case studies, and field updates with photos and videos.
  • Support training/workshop sessions with digital and IT facilities.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of project updates through digital platforms, media, and community channels.
