Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Officer cum Technician for Cold Room & Boiler is responsible for the efficient operation,
∎ maintenance, and troubleshooting of cold room and boiler systems within AHZ Agro Industries
∎ Pvt. Ltd. This role ensures that the cold storage facilities and boiler operations run smoothly to
∎ meet production and storage requirements.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Cold Room Management:
∎ o Monitor and control temperature and humidity levels in cold storage facilities.
∎ o Perform regular inspections and maintenance on cold room equipment to ensure
∎ optimal performance.
∎ o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to refrigeration systems, including
∎ compressors, evaporators, and condensers.
∎ o Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and accurate storage and
∎ retrieval of products.
∎ 2. Boiler Operations:
∎ o Operate and maintain boiler systems, including burners, pumps, and control
∎ systems.
∎ o Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on boiler equipment.
∎ o Monitor boiler performance and ensure compliance with safety and efficiency
∎ standards.
∎ o Record and report on boiler performance, including fuel consumption and
∎ operational efficiency.
∎ 3. Technical Support:
∎ o Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and operators on cold room
∎ and boiler systems.
∎ o Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and
∎ procedures.
∎ o Respond promptly to emergencies and system failures to minimize downtime.
∎ 4. Safety and Compliance:
∎ o Adhere to safety protocols and procedures for cold room and boiler operations.
∎ o Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and industry
∎ standards.
∎ o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
∎ 5. Documentation and Reporting:
∎ o Prepare and submit reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and
∎ any issues encountered.
∎ o Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment manuals, service records,
∎ and inventory of spare parts.
∎ 6. Training and Development:
∎ o Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and best
∎ practices in cold room and boiler management.
∎ o Assist in training new employees on system operation and safety procedures.
∎ Qualifications:
∎ Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a
∎ related field.
∎ Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the food
∎ processing or agro-based industry.
∎ Skills:
∎ o Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and boiler operations.
∎ o Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
∎ o Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
∎ o Proficient in using technical tools and equipment.
∎ o Good communication and teamwork skills.
∎ Certifications: Relevant certifications in boiler operation and refrigeration systems are
∎ preferred.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Environment: The role involves working in industrial environments including cold
∎ storage areas and boiler rooms.
∎ Hours: May require shift work or on-call availability depending on operational needs.
