JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure the implementation of the climate change a activity’s modality, learning, best practices, stories, reports, and communications materials of the BRAC Climate Change Programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Documenting the project intervention, its approach, implementation modality, climate lens, benefits, and climate adaptive package solutions.

  • Archiving the learning and best practices, doing research, and drawing insights from the activities implemented in the field from different projects.

  • Preparing and designing communication materials, such as fact sheets, brochures, PPTs, leaflets, posters, etc. through internal and external collaborations.

  • Writing case stories, blogs, newsletters and articles to document the learning and success stories.

  • Preparation of technical training modules on agricultural production technologies and knowledge materials on climate change related issues.

  • Support the programme development team in designing climate-adaptive agriculture interventions for smallholder farmers to increase yield, income, and resilience.

  • Supporting the team in doing cost-benefit analysis, measuring results- output and outcomes, efficiencies and effectiveness of the interventions.

  • Preparing the project reports and other documents as per the requirements of the projects.

  • Attending meetings, workshops, and communication booths, documenting the meeting notes and proceedings.

  • Guiding field team in developing their capacity in communications and knowledge management though facilitating online and offline sessions and meetings.

  • Visiting field offices and the activities in the field to capture the practical learning and experiences and to ensure proper documentation of the programme interventions.

    SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

    • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

    • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
