Technical Skills

• 3+ years of Odoo development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, Linux (Ubuntu/Debian).

• Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting module customization.

• API design and development experience (REST, JSON).

• Accounting & Business Understanding

• Knowledge of double-entry accounting principles.

• Familiarity with tax handling, VAT, invoice workflows, bank reconciliation.

• Experience working with accountants or finance teams.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving ability and English language skills

• Strong communication skills with stakeholders and non-technical users.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation and deployment of Odoo solution.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Odoo certification (Functional or Technical).

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Developer/Software Engineer who can manage our self-hosted Odoo environment, customize and extend the Odoo Accounting module, and build robust API integrations with external systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in Python and Odoo, understands accounting workflows, and can ensure stable, secure Odoo operations.

Key Responsibilities

Odoo Accounting Module Development

• Customize and extend Odoo Accounting (Invoicing, Payments, Journal Entries, Reconciliation, VAT/Tax Reporting).

• Implement local accounting rules (e.g., EU/Finland if needed).

• Develop new features: automated entries, payment workflows, financial dashboards, audit logs, and custom reports.

• Integrate with payment gateways, banks, and financial data providers.

• Work closely with accountants to map real-world business processes into Odoo.

API Development & Integrations

• Design and develop REST / JSON-RPC APIs for Odoo.

• Create secure API authentication (OAuth2, tokens, custom headers).

• Optimize API performance and ensure data integrity between systems.

• Custom Module Development (Python + Odoo Framework)

• Develop custom Odoo modules using Python, JavaScript.

• Customize workflows, forms, reports, and user interfaces.

• Implement automated scheduled tasks and background jobs.

• Write unit tests, documentation, and maintain clean code.

Technical Support & Collaboration

• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and management teams.

• Create technical documentation and training materials.
