Job Context:
∎ Nari Maitree (NM) is a women-led, non-governmental organization started its journey in 1983 and since then it has completed a journey of 40 years with an experience of working in various sectors like Health and nutrition, adolescent and youth, Gender equality and equity , Women empowerment, Child rights, livelihood, Education, water and sanitation, Humanitarian response ,Climate change and food security. Nari Maitree is going to implement a project with CORE Group, USA to improve the health and wellbeing of the forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (Rohingya) and other Host communities living in Cox`s Bazar district in Bangladesh by addressing their SRMNCAH needs. Nari Maitree is seeking application from the suitable candidates for the following position for its Cox`s Bazar Office:
∎ Report to : Project Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design and execute nutrition programs to educate and promote optimal maternal, infant, and young child feeding practices. This may involve developing nutrition education materials, organizing training sessions, and conducting awareness campaigns.
∎ Conduct assessments and screenings to identify individuals at risk of malnutrition, such as pregnant women, lactating women, and children under 2 years. Use appropriate tools to measure nutritional status and identify malnutrition-related disorders.
∎ Offer personalized nutrition counseling to PLW and caregivers of children under 2 years. Provide guidance on appropriate feeding practices, including exclusive breastfeeding, introduction of complementary foods, and nutrition requirements during pregnancy and lactation.
∎ Implement growth monitoring and promotion sessions to regularly monitor the growth and nutritional status of infants and young children. Identify growth faltering and refer cases for further evaluation and treatment as necessary.
∎ Collaborate with healthcare providers and community health workers to ensure a comprehensive approach to nutrition and healthcare. Coordinate efforts to improve nutrition services and integrate them into existing healthcare systems.
∎ Promote and support breastfeeding initiatives, including establishing breastfeeding support groups, providing counseling to mothers, and raising awareness about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.
∎ Work closely with healthcare teams to provide treatment and rehabilitation services for children affected by malnutrition-related skeletal disorders. Train caregivers on identifying and referring cases for appropriate care.
∎ Engage with community leaders, local organizations, and other stakeholders to build partnerships and mobilize community support for nutrition programs. Foster community participation and ownership of nutrition interventions.
∎ Regularly monitor and evaluate the impact of nutrition interventions and activities. Collect and analyze data, report on progress, and make recommendations for program improvement.
∎ Keep abreast of the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in the field of nutrition. Attend relevant training sessions, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of two years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public health/nutrition planning and management, maternal, neonatal and child health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness.
∎ Have experience working in humanitarian or emergency preparedness and response
∎ Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
∎ Fluency in English is required.
∎ Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health representatives
∎ Experience of the Bangladeshi/Rohingya response context will be an advantage.

Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)
