Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience with NGOs on primary healthcare, nutrition, or related community development projects.
  • Experience in training delivery, establishing nutritional gardens, and preparing nutritious meals for preschool children is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in culturally diverse and multicultural environments.

Responsibilities & Context:

Context:

The ASPADA Paribesh Unnayan Foundation, in partnership with organizations from India and Cambodia, is implementing an international exchange project titled “Health and Nutrition Initiative for Mother and Child”, with support from the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec).

We are seeking a motivated young professional with a background in nutritional or agricultural sciences to participate in this one-year exchange program in Cambodia and India. The selected participant will work with the Cambodian partner organization, Krousar Yoeung Association (KrY) in Phnom Penh and the Indian organization, Pahal Jan Sahayog Vikas Sansthan in Indore (MP), contributing by showcasing ASPADA’s best practices in nutritional security and primary healthcare, while learning from KrY and Pahal’s expertise in gender education, parenting education, and early childhood development. This collaboration focuses on sharing knowledge, learning organizational practices, exploring cultures and customs, and strengthening professional skills, with the ultimate goal of integrating these practices into the respective organizations for the benefit of their target communities. This exchange offers a unique opportunity to enhance professional competencies, broaden cultural understanding, and contribute to meaningful international collaboration in maternal and child health and nutrition.

Job description:

Role Overview:

Participants will work closely with the staff of KrY or Pahal to share knowledge and support capacity-building initiatives in the areas of maternal and child health, nutrition, gender and early childhood development. The exchange aims to foster mutual learning and strengthen professional skills while implementing practical interventions in target communities.

Duration: 12 months in the host countries, followed by 2 months of follow-up work in home organizations to share learning, develop materials, and support local implementation.

This is an exciting opportunity for young professionals to gain international experience, contribute to sustainable development, and enhance community well-being through hands-on learning and collaboration.

Job Nature: Full-time (Contractual for 14 months), Service contract will be started from 20 February 2026.

Job Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Indore (MP), India

(12 months in Cambodia or India and 2 months in Dhaka/Mymensingh, Bangladesh)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support KrY and Pahal staff in establishing and managing nutritional gardens, including technical guidance and monitoring.
  • Conduct community awareness activities through field visits, workshops, and educational campaigns.
  • Observe and assist in school breakfast preparation processes to improve nutrition programs.
  • Facilitate and support health-related training sessions for key stakeholders.
  • Assist in school health outreach programs and community health initiatives.
  • Share expertise on nutritional security and homestead gardening practices adapted from ASPADA.
  • Contribute to modifying and updating KrY’s Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) tools, incorporating best practices.
  • Develop operational guidelines focused on health and nutrition.
  • Learn from KrY’s parenting education programs, ECCD practices, and pedagogical approaches, including the use of educational games for preschoolers.
  • Document and share best practices, create IEC materials, and support the integration of learned skills into partner programs

  • Enhanced capacity of partner organizations in nutritional gardening, health education, and ECCD.
  • Improved nutritional and health practices in target communities.
  • Strengthened professional skills of participants in cross-cultural project implementation.
  • Integration of new practices into partner organizations for sustained community impact.


Job Other Benifits:
    Salary Range: Around 100,000-105000 BDT per month with well-furnished free accommodation in abroad. Other Benefits: International health and travel insurance, provident fund contribution, language course, international travel [Nepal (2- times for training) and Cambodia (for working and living) or India (for working and living)]
