∎ The NUTRITION AND HEALTH DEPUTY PROGRAMME MANAGER will be responsible for overall supervision of Camps emergency lifesaving program implementation, detection, referral and follow up system. Eenforce technical monitoring tools, including close follow-up of programme indicators. To liaise and coordinate with other stakeholders in area of intervention.
∎ This role offers huge scope for development within a growing, dynamic organization. The person will act as the key responsible for implementation of the Nutrition & Health program and for maintaining external coordination and liaison for the program with the support and direction of his/her supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Make sure the standard quality of Emergency Operation program in the field (Kutupalong, Balukhali Makeshift and Registered Camp¬Kutupalong/ Nayapara/Leda, Ukhiya/ Teknaf Upazila).
∎ Supervise the quality of service provided through Makeshift and Registered program (screening, detection and referral mechanism admission and treatment of SAM cases (in the OTP & SC sites), MAM (in the SFP) and PLW and in the supplementary and blanket supplementary program sites.
∎ Supervise the work of Action Against Hunger Nutrition Sr. Project officer/ assistant Project officer at Blanket supplementary program and GMP, SFP, OTP, Stabilization centers and ensure the quality of their work.
∎ Supervise the implementation of standard treatment protocols in the field and centers.
∎ Inform the nutrition program manager for the need of formal and on the job training for the staff of nutrition program.
∎ Identify the needs for training of different categories of Action Against Hunger and partner staff in the program.
∎ Inform the program manager for the need of formal and on the job training for the staff of Makeshift program.
∎ Actively participate and facilitate training sessions for the different categories of staff in ECHO, UNHCR, BPRM and WFP- supported nutrition program.
∎ Objective 2: Make sure adequate and proper supplies and utilization of food, non-food items and medications.:
∎ Ensure the request order for food and non- food items, medications prepared by nutrition Sr. project officer, nurses, and implementing partner are adequate according to the need of program (SC, OTP, SFP & BSFP).
∎ Ensure the proper utilization and use of food and non-food items according to the standard protocols in nutrition program.
∎ Ensure the proper stock management at field level for food, nonfood and medications and provide technical support to implementing partner to ensure the quality of stock management.
∎ Make sure that the beneficiaries are receiving and consuming the ration according to the standard protocols.
∎ Objective 3: Ensure the Staff management at field level.:
∎ Make sure proper attendance of nutrition staff, volunteers and respecting of working hours.
∎ Follow up of the days off for the staff and replacement of staff.
∎ Report any absence and not respecting of working hours to the program manager.
∎ Collection and checking of the attendance sheets at the end of each month for nutrition staff, volunteers and submission to the program manager.
∎ Objective 4: To ensure that appropriate reporting system is in place.:
∎ Make sure that nutrition supervisors are using standard reporting formats.
∎ Make sure that daily, weekly and monthly record of beneficiaries is in place and staff of nutrition program is able to fulfill efficiently.
∎ Collection, compilation and analysis of the monthly reports from nutrition program and submission to the program manager.
∎ Provide technical support to Technical Coordinator-Nutrition of implementing partner and senior project officers for ensuring the quality of the program and data management.
∎ Objective 5: Ensure the good Coordination, communication and collaboration with all the partners at field level:
∎ Establish good working relationship with all the partners and the official authorities CIC.
∎ Make sure that close follow up and feedback system is in place for the referral cases.
∎ Ensure proper communication, collaboration with other Action against Hunger programs and support functions at field level.
∎ Ensure good coordination with MHCP staff for ensure the follow up of CNR, Absent and weight static and decreased caregivers of SAM and MAM children.
∎ Attend and represent Action against Hunger during coordination meetings at field level.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3-4 years' work experience in field of Management of malnutrition or Health and Nutrition field
∎ Working experience with local implementing partner, International Organizations and government health system is required
∎ Experience in conducting health/ SMART nutrition survey specially is a plus
∎ Experience to work with government health and family planning mechanism
∎ Good organization skill and ability to work in a team
∎ Experience in capacity building of local staff
∎ Good communication, skill, and ability to coordinate with multi sectorial partners / stakeholders
∎ Team-building and training skills, Experience in conducting internal knowledge building activities
Salary: Tk. 93699 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary
∎ Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year vary from performants
