∎ BSN&M degree with valid BNMC.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Respecting medical secrets and confidentiality at all times.
∎ Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations, daily rounds and other medical procedures. Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.
∎ Identifying Sexually Gender Based Violence victims and referring them to the medical team so they can receive the necessary treatment (PEP Kit).
∎ Ensuring patients are properly received and installed and that those with lack of autonomy are assisted, especially regarding their feeding, personal hygiene, movements and comfort. For ER and OPD nurse, ensuring triage of patients in waiting areas, wards or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the doctor when necessary.
∎ Carrying out admission, monitoring and follow-up of patients (i.e. assessment, and early identification of deterioration and actively responds according to MSF standards.
∎ Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumptions, statistics, registers, health files, etc.), ensuring an appropriate written/oral handover, and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise. Participating in data collection and keeping doctors/supervisors informed.
∎ Participating in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance (quality and its functioning, storage conditions, follow-up of expired drugs inventories, stock takes of medicines and material at every team changeover ensuring no material is taken out of nursing area/wards without prior authorisation, etc.) Sending medical equipment to be sterilized and retrieves it from sterilization.
∎ Supervising and training nurse-aids, nutritional assistants, cleaners and other related staff under his/her supervision, ensuring teamwork and adherence to all appropriate protocols and procedures.
∎ MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
∎ The focus of this position is on patients that are referred to Partner Facilities:
∎ Care and Treatment:
∎ Receive patients referred to the different sites and gives themproper orientation on desinated wards fo admissions.
∎ Ensure that MSf referrals receive necessary quality care; as well as making follow up on the patients during their stay at referral sites.
∎ Organize pharamcy requests, medical & surgical material as per MOU / policy.
∎ Notify the line managers about the use of external facilities (private laboratories and pharamcies) with which MSF does not have specific MoUs, for the purpose of prior approval/accountablity.
∎ Support the patients with Admission and transport fees as per policy.
∎ Follow up on quality of care and treatment of the referred patients.
∎ Ensure that MSF as well as the referral partners follow the activities as agreed on in our MOU’s.
∎ Administration:
∎ Complete all paper work regarding the advance money and expenses for each individual patients correctly and completely.
∎ Crosscheck all medical bills and correct with the respective facility before handing them in to the Cox’s Bazar Office.
∎ Hand in all filled payment overview sheets covering the advances taken to Cox’s Bazar Office, who will send it on to the medical activity manager / hospital coordinator.
∎ Send feedbacks to the pproject about the arrival of the referrals, status of management and about appointment for follow up.
∎ With the support from the Hospital coordinator or Medicall coordinator, remind the management of the referral facilities of any devaition from the MoUs, (e.g. incorrect charges in the invoices, refusal of refferals,too many fruther referral despite responsibilities otulined in the MoUs) etc..
∎ Communication/Collaboration:
∎ Informs the line managers, Hospital coordinator or Medco of challenges that affect/prevent beneficiaries from accessing servces from identified referal facilities.
∎ Update the projects teams of the the changes in the admission and exclusion criteria of different referal facilities, to avoid sending patinets from one facility to another.
∎ Works in close collaboration with the other 2 referral nurses.
∎ Ensure close collaboration with the medical teams of the referral facilities.
∎ Responsible for the management of the assigned caregivers, quality of care and their time sheets, in the respective sites when needed.
∎ Ensure close collaboration with functional & hierarchical supervisors in CXB & Kutupalong,report any observations or behavior not in line with MSF protocol, those that contravene our MOUs with respective referral facilities.
∎ Ensure close collaboration with the focal point in Cox’s Bazar Office, and ask for technical support when needed on site.
∎ Report the reception and discharge of our proteges to the Referral Nurse Consultant KTP.

∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 2 years of previous experience in nursing and previous experience in working with an NGO.
∎ Oral and written English and Bangla essential; Chittagonian desirable.
∎ Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).
