Job Context:
∎ WAVE Foundation, a civil society organization implements diversified activities under 3Major Domains- Sustainable Livelihood; Governance & Rights and Social Development & Climate Resilience (https://wavefoundationbd.org/). WAVE seeks application from interested Youths for its International Professional Exchange Program supported by Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation-NOREC that former known as Fredskorpset/FK Norway (https://www.norec.no/en/home/). WAVE implements this project in a collaborative partnership approach with DHAN Foundation, India. From this exchange program, usually professionals attain the required knowledge from host organization and replicate the learning back home organization. Due to COVID situation and travel restriction, physical exchange is postponed and the project focused on digital mode of exchange from January 2021-December 2021.
∎ About The Project: The intended project Small Farming-A Viable Business aims at enhancing the capacity of professionals from both WAVE Foundation and DHAN Foundation in the area agricultural. Overall, The project opens up a new horizon of possibilities at institutional, individual (Young professionals) and community level and subsequently that would change on the ground and in the mind through capacity enhancement of the resources, best practice replication, and spill-over effect on the people. In each round of exchange, professionals aim at acquiring the required technical knowledge, skill, and experience to facilitate Farmers’ Producers Organizations-FPOs and scientific rearing, household farm establishment and operational management and gene conservation of a local variety of goat (Black Bengal). Farmers’ Producer Organization-FPO model is a recognized body of smallholder farmers’ that aims to improve the standard of their living and ensure a good status of their available support, income, and profitability to promote small farming as a viable business. WAVE Foundation has been working to organize and capacitate farmers under its initiative of FPO concept, named Krishi Morcha in different regions in Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Professionals will be closely guided and mentored by WAVE and DHAN in different stages during carrying out the activities.
∎ Engage in regular planning and implementation of online and offline activities with WAVE Foundation and DHAN Foundation.
∎ Enhgage in operating the ICT based FPO monitoring tool to capacitate on the FPO opreration management in online mode, developing a operational manual on ICT based monitoring tool on FPO and capacitating selective members from FPO on FPO operation and management.
∎ Support in prepare training module fit for sharing in the digital training platform.
∎ Facilitate digital training session by both WAVE and DHAN
∎ Prepare and submit the report in regular interval on project activities.
∎ Prepare case studies and articles on the unique features and best practices.
∎ Work in harmony with the values of Norec and partnership.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Minimum 2 years working experience in development organization. Professionals having considerable experience in agriculture development, livelihood and food security will be given preference.
∎ Capable of preparing good quality reports and presentation in English
∎ Good communication (oral & written) skill in English
∎ Good computer skills
∎ Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh with regular field visit.
Salary: Tk. 45000 - 47000 (Monthly)
