Key Responsibilities - NOC & SOC
Manage 24×7 NOC and SOC operations to ensure availability, performance, security, and continuity of the Bank's critical IT infrastructure.
Monitor network, servers, applications, databases, security devices, and critical infrastructure across Branches, ATMs, Uposhakha, Agent Banking, Head Office, DC, DR, and Far DR.
Perform proactive network and infrastructure monitoring using Nagios and SolarWinds, identifying connectivity, performance, latency, packet-loss, and availability issues.
Monitor DC-DR/Far DR links, network devices, and critical services to maintain high availability and operational uptime.
Coordinate with Network, System, Database, Application, ISP, and technology vendors for timely troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure and connectivity incidents.
Provide and coordinate remote and on-site technical support for Branches, ATMs, Uposhakhas, Agent Banking locations, Head Office, DC, and DR facilities.
Monitor and analyze alerts from NMS, APM, SIEM, XDR/EDR, Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and Anti-Malware security platforms.
Perform security event analysis, incident validation, and initial triage to identify potential threats and determine severity and business impact.
Investigate and identify malware, phishing, brute-force attacks, unauthorized access, suspicious login activities, vulnerability exploitation, and anomalous user behavior.
Correlate events across network, endpoint, server, application, database, and user activities to detect suspicious patterns and potential security incidents.
Monitor privileged-user activities and access patterns to identify unauthorized or suspicious activities and potential security risks.
Perform incident logging, classification, prioritization, escalation, tracking, and follow-up in accordance with defined SLA/OLA and Incident Response Procedures.
Support security incident response, containment, investigation, eradication, recovery, and post-incident activities in coordination with relevant teams.
Monitor critical banking applications and interfaces and provide timely escalation for service disruption, transaction issues, and performance degradation.
Support EOD/BOD, month-end, year-end, and other critical banking operations.
DR/BCP activities, DR drills, and infrastructure failover operations to ensure business continuity.
Assist with vulnerability management, threat monitoring, security compliance, and security control validation activities.
Preserve relevant logs, system records, and digital evidence to support forensic investigations and security incident analysis.
Prepare and maintain SOC/NOC reports, dashboards, shift handover reports, incident records, operational checklists, and management summaries in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CEH, Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), CompTIA Security+
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VPN, MPLS, Firewall Rules, Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), Windows Server, VMware, Backup/DR Solutions, SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
Understanding of Incident Response, Threat Monitoring, Endpoint & Network Security, Vulnerability Management, Access Management, and Log Analysis.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
1-3 years of relevant experience in NOC, SOC, or IT Operations, with experience in the banking or financial services sector preferred.
Shift & Operational Requirements
Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
Availability for night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Support emergency incidents, maintenance windows, and EOD/BOD operations.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to critical NOC/SOC incidents promptly.
