Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in GIS, Geography, or related information management from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant experience; or

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Program Manager of Site Management and Site Development (SMSD)and in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units , the IM/ GIS Officer is responsible to support SMSD program's Information Management and GIS system components.
∎ The incumbent will be responsible to support the following activities:
∎ 1. Coordinate the implementation and operationalization of the unit-specific Information Management strategy in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units
∎ 2. Operationalize unit-specific common data standards and promote them with IOM unit partners.
∎ 3. Compile, aggregate and analyze data and information required to produce standardized unit information products in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units
∎ 4. Analyze processed unit data and information and perform data quality and consistency control.
∎ 5. Draft and review ODK forms and assessment in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units.
∎ 6. Participate in capacity building through training of unit staff in work related to data collection, survey and assessment; data management as well as maintenance and support to database systems in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units
∎ 7. Conduct data validation and cross checking of geographic data for map production and use in geographic information systems (GIS).
∎ 8. Support and facilitate the smooth running of Site management and Site development teams.
∎ 9. Share IOM data (In line with IOM Data protection policy) with partner agencies and maintain Portal population figures in-line with agreed frequencies in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units
∎ 10. Provide technical guidance and support to Needs Assessment processes and others, specifically in data collection, processing/collation, and analysis in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units
∎ 11. Maintain regular liaison with key stakeholders in relation to IM, sector IMs as well as implementing partners' IM actors in coordination with PSU M&E and IM units;
∎ 12. Perform other duties as management assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in emergency response in the field, Data Management or Information management, crisis, post conflict and other displacement situations;
∎ Understanding and respect of IOM's data protection guidelines;
∎ Knowledge of ArcGIS or any enterprise GIS software, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), Software development tools, MS Office;
∎ Working experience in the region is an advantage.
