Job Context:
∎ The Project for Strengthening Health Systems through Organizing Communities (SHASTO), implemented by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) and Supported by JICA Bangladesh is aimed at improving quality of essential Non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention and care services in rural and urban areas in Bangladesh.
∎
∎ Objective of the consultancy:
∎ to support the implementation of Multisectotral NCD Action Plan
∎ to support the function of Multisectoral NCD Coordination Committee and Secretariat
∎ to support the activities of SHASTO project

Job Responsibilities:
∎ SHASTO Project is looking for qualified Bangladeshi national to provide the following Service:-
∎
∎ Technical Services:
∎ Assist in coordination between LD-NCDC, DGHS and other relevant OPs and officials of MOHFW and other Ministries regarding implementation of Multisectoral NCD Action Plan
∎ Provide technical inputs to the MOHFW and other Ministries for implementation of Multisectoral NCD Action Plan
∎ Support monitoring of implementation of Multisectoral NCD Action Plan
∎ Advocacy and implementation of research on NCDs
∎ Provide technical assistance to the GoB counterparts and SHASTO project staff regarding NCDC related program, activities and issues
∎ Collaborate with different partners of NCDC Operational Plan, DGHS
∎ Attend meetings, workshops and other events related to this assignment
∎
∎ Others:
∎ The Consultant may be requested to travel outside Dhaka with the expenses of the Project.
∎
∎ Product: (specific product shall be determined mutually at the beginning of every quarter):
∎ Inception report with 6 month work plan (submitted by 15th May 2019)
∎ Monthly activity report (submitted within the first week of every month)
∎ Event report (meeting records, workshop/seminar/training report, etc)
∎ Other documents requested by the SHASTO project
∎
∎ Contract Period: from 1st May 2019 to 31st October 2019 (6 months) and could be extended based on the performance and project needs

Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have a experience in the government job (Retired MOHFW official)
∎ Medical Doctor
∎ Extensive experiences in the field of public health and primary health care

Salary: Negotiable
