Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in monitoring, documentation, or MEAL-related roles, preferably in NGOs.
Ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience using Kobo/ODK, Microsoft Excel, and basic data visualization tools.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
Ability to write clear reports, case studies, and short stories.
Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel and work in the field.
Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
Understanding of results-based management (RBM) and logical frameworks.
Basic photography and storytelling skills for documentation.
Job Location: The position is based in Assasuni Upazila of Satkhira district and with regular travel to outside of base station, District, Upazila and Union and level for implementation of project activities smoothly.

Organization Overview: IDEAL (Institute of Development Education for Advancement of Landless) is a local NGO established in 1987 in the Parulia village of Debhata Upazila under Satkhira District of Bangladesh. In 1987, few young educated people formed IDEAL with a view to promote social activities. From the beginning, IDEAL started to organize local poor people into different homogenous groups with the objective to secure their rights and to help them assume responsibilities which would lead to their empowerment and promote self-employment. IDEAL started water and sanitation programs considering safe water crisis in the locality and lack of sanitation practices. Then it started social forestry program as part of its environmental conservation and poverty eradication program. Savings and micro-credit programs also started for employment generation and economic empowerment. Adult literacy and non-formal primary education programs started as part of basic education for the adult people and dropout children from the poor families especially girls. IDEAL took registration from department social welfare in 1991, NGO- AB in 1996 Department of Youth development in 2003 and Microcredit regulatory authority in 2008. IDEAL have a constitution and the organization is directed by the constitution.
In 2003 IDEAL started reducing vulnerability to climate change programs as southwestern part of the country is frequently affected by climate change effects. As Bangladesh is the most vulnerable country of climate change effects and southwestern part of the country is the main area of natural calamities so, IDEAL is continuing its “Reduce in lendability to climate change program” with great importance

Job Overview: The Monitoring, Learning & Documentation Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supporting inclusive CBR & DRR activities in the community. This role focuses on ensuring the active participation and empowerment of children and youth with disabilities across all domains of DRR, CBR, including education, health, livelihood, social participation, and empowerment. The Monitoring, Learning & Documentation Officer will collaborate closely with families, community stakeholders, and service providers to create an enabling and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support project monitoring and evaluation activities, including the use of indicators and data collection tools.
Collect, check, clean, and manage project data using tools such as Kobo, ODK, and Google Forms.
Update Indicator Tracking Tables (ITT), output trackers, and project databases regularly.
Conduct field visits to monitor project activities, data quality, and progress against plans.
Document project activities, success stories, case studies, and lessons learned.
Prepare human-interest stories and short outcome narratives following donor guidelines.
Organize and maintain project documents such as reports, photos, attendance sheets, and monitoring forms (both soft and hard copies).
Support the preparation of learning briefs, factsheets, and presentation materials.
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports with accurate data.
Prepare simple monitoring summaries, dashboards, and visuals for management use.
Ensure all reports and documents meet donor requirements and deadlines.
Provide basic support and guidance to project staff and partners on data collection and documentation.
Coordinate with program, finance, and Donors teams to ensure accurate and complete data.
Accountability and Safeguarding
Follow ethical standards during data collection, including confidentiality and informed consent.
Support feedback and complaint response mechanisms (FCRM).
Promote safeguarding and do-no-harm principles in all monitoring and documentation work.
