Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. Since the 2017, SKUS has been working on Rohingya refugee influx in Cox`s Bazar district in the field of Education, health, Child protection, GBV, MHPSS and SRHR among the children, adolescents, women, and men with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ Recently, SKUS has signed an agreement with Plan International Bangladesh to implement a project titled "Lifting Healthy, Empowered, and Protected Girls and Women in Cox`s Bazar (LEAP)` at Rohingya Camps in Ukhia Upazila and the Host Community of Ukhia Upazila under Cox`s Bazar District. SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer-LEAP for the project mentioned above, supported by Plan International Bangladesh.
∎ The Monitoring and Evaluation Officers is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the project to ensure smooth implementation of the Lifting Healthy, Empowered, and Protected Girls and Women in Cox`s Bazar (LEAP) project and reach its estimated goal and objectives. Plan International Bangladesh is the lead of this consortium project with the Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh (HOPE), Partners in Health and Development (PHD), Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Sangstha (SKUS), and Mukti Cox`s Bazar which funded by the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and technical supported by Plan International Bangladesh. LEAP will employ a comprehensive, integrated programmatic approach by engaging a variety of stakeholders and facilitating gender- and adolescent-responsive and inclusive (GARI), sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), sexual gender-based violence (SGBV), and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services by strengthening government health systems, including establishing/strengthening referral linkages (from community to health facilities and between different sectors) to bring transformative change among the most at-risk adolescent girls and young women in host communities and camps. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for overall monitoring and evaluation process of project activity.
∎ Duration: Up to August 2024 (Contingent to Donor Extension and Govt. Approval)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide support to Plan International's international MERL coordinator/specialist to develop an effective MERL system encompassing both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
∎ Assist the Plan International MERL Coordinator and Specialist in developing different program monitoring tools, formats, and guidelines to track the progress of the project.
∎ Ensure that the monitoring tools are implemented by program staffs to measure the program's progress.
∎ Provide training to program field staffs to effectively use program monitoring tools and guidelines so that program staffs can use those properly to collect monitoring quantitative and qualitative data from the field.
∎ Develop and maintain program databases, data entry template with the coordination of PIB.
∎ Enter project data into computer for generating output.
∎ Conduct periodic analysis using collected data to produce report. Prepare presentation for the program to share the findings as and when required.
∎ Prepare regular MERL reports with support from other program staff. Assist to develop progress report (monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
∎ Undertake regular field visits to the program locations to observe the program activities and suggest for further improvement.
∎ Provide information to the project coordinator for effective and efficient execution of the project activities.
∎ Maintain linkage with related GO, NGO, civil society and other stakeholders
∎ Ensure all deliverables of the project through reviews and disseminate findings among relevant stakeholders
∎ Day to day management of database and share the findings with program staff.
∎ Contribute to establishing in learning & knowledge management system. Engage in identifying and documenting critical evidence, gaps and bottlenecks related to realization of the rights of children.
∎ Prepare case studies for reporting, advocacy, and communication purposes. Any other task assigned by the Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 26 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years job experience in the development field along with relevant experience
∎ Capacity in leadership, data and gap analysis
∎ Excellent planning, analytical, organizational and decision making skills
∎ Good working relationships with colleagues, actors and allies
∎ Excellent communication skills including written and spoken in English
∎ Conversant in common IT applications (MS word, MS power point, internet browsing & e-mail communications)
∎ Report writing and documentation skills
∎ Excellent in rapport building and networking
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skill both in English and Bangla
∎ Proficient in Computer Operations, MS Office Application including typing preferably in English and Bengali both E-mail & Internet.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience within range
