Job Context:
∎ Save the Children is seeking a MEL Director for an anticipated five-year USAID-funded Accelerating Reductions in Adolescent Childbearing (ARaC) program in Bangladesh. The program will focus on increasing the ability of adolescents to exercise their right to delay early marriage and childbearing; strengthen social support for adolescents to delay marriage and early childbearing; strengthen essential services for adolescents and their families; and institutionalize effective solutions.
∎ Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the potential female candidates.
∎ This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.
∎ Contract length: Regular

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least eight years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, study design/management, or statistical analysis in the development field, with increasing levels of responsibility. Experience leading MEL for adolescent sexual and reproductive health; child, early, and forced marriage; gender; and/or social and behavior change.
∎ Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluating, and learning of social and behavior change, including social and gender norm change approaches.
∎ Ability to conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting of publishable quality.
∎ Ability to independently develop monitoring and reporting systems that include appropriate indicators, baseline data, and targets.
∎ Evaluate performance and produce timely, accurate, and complete reporting.
∎ Ability to identify and summarize key, relevant data and other information; ability to prepare detailed, accurate, relevant, reader-friendly reports.
∎ Experience implementing collaboration, learning, and adaptive management.
∎ The ability to work collaboratively with program staff and leadership to ensure a feedback loop and direct connection between data and continuous program and strategic adjustments and improvements.
∎ The ability to translate data and research findings into appropriate programmatic interventions.
∎ Good track record of leading, supporting, and coaching field teams and counterparts on data literacy, data analysis, and data use.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in teams.
∎ Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in resource-constrained environments.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
∎ Experience living and working in Bangladesh. Experience with survey design, or the design and testing of data collection instruments
∎ Advanced training in quantitative methodologies, including database management;
∎ Experience in qualitative research techniques, including analysis software; and
