Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Child Protection (CP) Project with Rohingya and Host communities under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox`s Bazar with the support of Save the Children International (SCI) and UNHCR which is assumed to be commenced from October, 2020.
∎ The duration of the project is initially 3 Months (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension for the next year). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Gilatoli (Teknaf). The job may be regularized after completion of 6 months of services under FIVDB`s pay-scale, rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The MHPSS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating MHPSS related project activities and providing ongoing support to the concerned staff for facilitating sessions/activities with a psychosocial objective, and for facilitation and supervising capacity building activities and the identification and referrals of children and their caregivers with mental health related problems. S/he will be reportable to Project Coordinator but maintain functional relation with Program Manager (MHPSS) for technical support.
∎ Key Area 1: Program Delivery
∎ Organize and supervise daily activities/ weekly plans, and trainings.
∎ Provide ongoing support (training or on the job training) to staff including support for designing content of PSS activities and how to interact with children/caregivers who have experienced distressing events or have difficulties to cope with daily stressors.
∎ Establish and maintain relationships with mental health service providers to ensure effective referrals to appropriate and quality service providers.
∎ Ensure follow-up of referrals is being done appropriately.
∎ Coordinate with different roles of the CP (e.g. case management, POs/FOs Child Protection and other relevant actors), if and when MHPSS needs identified Considering and maintaining all ethics during delivering the services.
∎ Facilitate weekly supervision/meetings with PSS relevant staff assigned to follow up identification and referral of MHPSS cases while ensuring appropriate communication with children and their caregivers/ counselling sessions if to happen
∎ Support and/or arrange sessions for staff on self-care
∎ Key Area 2: Facilitating Training, Meeting Supervise capacity building activities carried by CP staff on PFA and other relevant MHPSS trainings for volunteers, Project and Filed Officers, CFS facilitators.
∎ Support volunteers/ staff so that they are capable of providing basic psycho-social, adequate information regarding MHPSS related topics and that they create a harmonious and safe environment within the CFS.
∎ Identify training gaps to support project staff and volunteers in conducting quality PSS activities and work in close collaboration with Program Manager MHPSS.
∎ Participate in sector activities and camp and host community and represent FIVDB at camp and host community level.
∎ Key Area 3: Reporting and Data Management
∎ Ensure data protection principles and protocols are adhered to, including strict confidentiality and need-to-know information sharing principles.
∎ Ensure Child Safeguarding policy is well integrated on the MHPSS activities.
∎ Provide timely and quality inputs to meet reporting requirements and timeline.
∎ Prepare case progress reports following the case management process.
∎ Ensure good practices are captured, documented and disseminated at project level and thematic program level.
∎ Identify needs and gaps for the adequate integration of MHPSS components across Child Protection, Nutrition and Health sectors
∎ Prepare monthly report MHPSS activities.
∎ Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations in Bangladesh, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English (especially in speaking and writing).
∎ Work as team player and has flexibility in his/her work
∎ Has to be willing to take challenge of working in a participatory approach for Rohingya Community/ Host Community
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill.
∎ Understanding of local cultural language
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Advance user of MS-word, Excel, Power point and internet browsing

Salary:
∎ Tk. 67145 (Monthly)
∎ TK. Up to 67,145.00 (Monthly) (fixed, taxes payable to be deducted)
